i have many questions and wonder if a japanese speaker or japan native can answer
1.is it hard to learn japanese
2.is it worth learning japanese
3.how long would it take
4.is writing/reading or speaking/understanding harder

I'm asking for i wish to learn and i have for along time. i plan on visting japan oneday and would also. like to show off to my friend because i speak and read and understand and all that stuff. is this a bad reason to learn japanese? I was acutually going to watch and read japanese things without subtitles and whatnot. but then would like to learn the language study the culture and see if they acutually are 8+ yrs. ahead of us Americans technology wise. so can anyone from japan or who knows alot about the language help me?

I came home from the pet store today to find a chihuahua half frozen in my snow covered yard. I could hardly even see him! I immediately brought him in the house and got him warmed up, fed, and watered. I then put up signs all over looking for the owner and called animal control to report it. They won't be able to come get him for 5-6 days since I agreed to foster him until the owner shows up or they can get here. (loads of problems there right now with distemper exposure) He has no tags and appears very skinny. I know NOTHING about this breed because I have always been partial to large breed dogs. So my questions are:

1) Is it normal to see their spine and hips? It's not extremely prominant but definately clearly noticable.

2) Are sore on the leg joints common in chihuahuas?

3) Do the legs normally have very little fur on them?

4) Is it common that he does not bark at all or even really respond to sounds other than a kissing sound?

Okay, I'm so sick of school, it's too much of a pain.
I truly am unhappy going to school and being critized by a bunch of nasty brats.I hate having to get up in the morning for 6 hours of boring crap.

I hate having to get ready and putting on make-up, don't say I don't have to do that, cause I know I don't have to, but if I don't then I feel very self conscious, I wish I didn't, but I do.
I want to go the University of Texas because that's were my family and I are moving after I finish highschool.

Right now I really don't care about partying or hanging out a lot with friends because I can do that after high school.
But I really want to get homeschooled until senior year and so I was wondering if anyone had good resources.
My mom has enough to get me a teacher but that's a lot and I tend to be pretty conservative.

Also, I've heard of place where you pick up your homework and then do it at home or something like that so please, help me out.

I have two step children -boys one 14, one 11 1/2 they watch cartoons all the time. The cartoon characters baby talk. The context is stuped. I am fine with Simpsons, Family Guy but this other baby type cartoons drives me crazy. I have had other family members comment that they are to old for this type of cartoons they watch. Am I over acting? oh by the way when their mother talks to them she treats them like they are four years old.

So basically, he could never come(well i mean, he will never come), and everyone in the future will be like.... yeah he's on his way. All those people will die off, and then the next generation will think the same thing, that he's coming. But......Nothing.
