Alright...I understand the Democrat's stance on why taxes should be increased (I don't neccessarily agree with it, but understand it).
We do have a war to pay for.
After the war is paid for, however, will the taxes be brought down, or will we continue to pay higher taxes?

You know they never met a tax that they didn't adore so I'd say NO. Once they get a tax, they'll increase it, not eliminate it.
They always bring up this nonsense about "we only want to tax the rich", which is about as bogus as it gets. The truth is that they want to tax the successful. It's like you should be penalized for making a success of yourself so you can support the sick, lame and lazy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not that successful myself but I have the opportunity, as an American, to be all I can be. I just don't understand why the Democrats want to take it away from me.

I want to know why they keep saying the tax cuts that die in 1430 days will hurt the economy and can not extend them saying it over and over again but they never mention the fact that the CBO mentioned today
the medicare/medicaid cost is 4.3 % of the budget today. continuing on the same trend its on now.
in 2017 it would be 12.7% of the budget
and in 2050 it would be 20% of the budget.
senator Conrad says that itS NOT a major problem because it is just some minor simplifications of the processes that can cut that nothing major.....A JUMP OF 16% OF THE BUDGET BY ONE DEMOCRAT PROGRAM IS A MINOR DEAL? its more important to keep a failing entitlement over money in EVERY BODIES POCKETS.

Man I hate taxes. If so much money wasn't wasted by these idiots there would be plenty to go around. I am tired of having my money wasted. Government needs to spend less and close some of the tax loopholes on corporations and bring us regular Joe's and Jane's taxes down.

You are ignoring the big budget gorilla coming over the back fence - the baby boomers are retiring and we have to pay for their social security and medicare/caid. We are going to need a lot more money than we can possibly afford under the present system. You really should read up on it.

They just don't believe in tax cuts or low taxes. At least not for the person that has busted their butts all their lives getting where they are today.

They never come down. The government (democrats or republicans - doesn't matter) will find something else to spend it on .

You'll be long dead by the time this Iraq fiasco is paid for, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
