You can get Demos of AoE2 and the Conquerors from Microsoft.com. Just google "Free Age of Empires Demos"

Here are some awesome ones, Age of Mythology(Microsoft), Rise of Nations(Microsoft), and then one of the most awesome games I've played, because its also kind of an RPG... Rise and Fall: Civilization's at War!!!!(Stainless Steel Studios) It is awesome.

Warcraft 3 is probably the best rts game ever. you have to buy the game, but online play is free and well worth it.
