Many television shows (The Mole, Big Brother, The Weakest Link, Survivor, most reality t.v. shows, and in a lesser degree, American Idol) seem to be presenting some of the worst parts of human nature as virtues. There have lately been many home videos posted on the internet of children fighting at the urging of adults and even group attacks on a certain individual.
Such behaviors used to be soundly criticized and discouraged...but not any more.
Are we becoming a people that value entertainment more than anything else? Do we now consider cuelty and betrayal a necessary part of success?

so, i need to replace the water heater. my home is the 1950's ranch style in north texas. it's currently gas. the thing is...i was in a nasty gas explosion a few years ago...and consequently HATE gas, scared to death of it, can't even use my oven without freaking out. but...also not rolling in cash. right now i just keep the closet door shut and never get near the water heater.

when i get the new one, which is better and cheaper? gas or electric? and if i already have a gas one, can i even switch to electric? or is that impossible?

i have a 30 gallon heater, is that ok? this house has two people in it. about how much should i pay for a water heater, will any one do?

I went from living in Idaho all of my life to moving to Utah for a few months, and ended up moving back to Idaho, all in 2006. My husband & I had jobs in both states. What is this going to do to my taxes? How do I file the Utah taxes? Is there a way I can get the W2 forms from Utah sent to me in Idaho ( I didn't leave a forwarding addy because I was staying with friends)? Oh! And we claim one child. If we marry before he goes off to BCT how will the housing go once he is given his orders? If there's no on base housing available will he be given BAH right away or will we just be reimbursed? If there is on base housing, we can just move in ASAP? I also heard there was some type of extra pay for him while he's in BCT and AIT for being married. What is it and where can I read about all this?
