weird. no so easy on the eyes women?? I alway always see so many beautiful men married to eye soars.. is it because they stick around or the men are too nice? i dont get it.

Maybe because they are not so simple minded and shallow, that physical appearance is the only thing they look for.
Just the fact that you ask such a question, tell's what your priorities are in a relationship.

Lol, I asked the recruiters wife the same question, she had no idea. When us recruits would be on the bus @ boot camp, I would see the VERY LARGE OBESE women with their scrawny or muscular Marine husbands. My guy friends said that they're probably easier to trust while they're gone (like some people here already mentioned). But, honestly, if they guy is HOT as hell, he's going to get some action on the side because their wife is not attractive. I also saw a good looking SSgt. on Wheel of Fortune and his wife was huge!!
As for my husband and I, we are a very good looking couple. He is gorgeous and I think I look ok, and getting hit on makes me think so too. I'm not superficial either, but being attracted to your spouse is VERY important in a relationship.
And to JANA Q .... Hell yeah!

Love isn't just about the physical. Who would want a marriage like that anyway? It's okay if it's just a fling, but marriage is forever (at least thats the commitment you make...), going on looks alone doesn't make for a happy marriage. And like a few other people said, I have seen beautiful women with ugly guys too.

hey that is so not fair to sterotype .. i am an army wife and my hubby is hotter than a fire ...I consider myself to be reasonable looking .and i did do modelling before i met my husband and i have many good looking friends not all pads wifes are mingers .. i believe at the end of the day if the women you see are not so easy on the eye to you they must be doing something right as they are married to sexy squaddies

i think its because military guys move around alot and need a woman who's dependable. hot women are "typically" more liable to cheat...that's my theory. but i see some guys with hot-*** woman on the base i work. but in most cases, you're right

People like you are so shallow. You're stuck on APPEARANCES. It's not always the 'hunks' who make the best hubands (and vice versa when it comes to women). People like you who go on looks often wind up being dumped, cheated on by their 'HUNKY HUBBY' because he thinks he has to share the wealth, or beaten by an egotisitcal jerk.

Ya know......I am Marine wife myself but I have many times asked myself that same exact question. The only answer I've come up with is......"It MUST be love." Or why do skinny guys marry fat chicks???? I come up with the same answer...."It MUST be love."
