When we isolate RNA, we add acidic phenol so that DNA will go to the phenol phase and RNA keep in water phase. So both they are acid nucleic, why they have different characteristics? Addition, DNA can't be soluble in basic phenol. What is the role of pH here?

see, my bf and i have been together for over 3 years now, and he's is talking about having a baby and he wants to plan on it, but whenever i talk about getting married first , he doesnt wanna do it, he wants to wait for that he says that marriage is a big step,but as far as i know, having a baby is much more important , i just would like to do it step by step, you know first step 1 then 2, i dont wanna jump right on the step 3 . anyways the kind of thinking he has, worries me and scares me, if he doesnt wanna comit to being married, how is he going to comit to being a parent? i mean, his parents were together for 5 years and they had him unexpectedly ,things didnt work out and they got separated when he was 2 years old... does that have anything to do with his way of thinking?

Why would a god of love torture for eternity someone who committed wrongdoing for at most 70 or 80 years? Would a human parent sever the arm off his child for hitting the neighbor? That would be grossly wrong. Obviously, if it exists, God set up Hell and installed the devil there, or else the 'souls' of dead people wouldn't go there. If Hell wasn't part of God's plan, He wouldn't allow 'souls' to be taken that way. How would you explain this, if this is what you really believe? And don't give me any of that "God works in mysterious ways" crap. Humans have working brains and logical ability. God wouldn't do something that even imperfect humans would consider wicked.

My mom had breast cancer months ago and they treated it with radiation, she under went a routine chest film and they found a mass on her left upper lobe in her lung. She sees her DR on tuesday to go over the CT scan with contrast they ordered after her chest film. So what now? Could this be a result of the breast cancer? If so can it be in her brain or somewhere else? Any one can help me id appreciate it so much and please don't hold back on the answers cause it may not be what i want to here i need to know what everyone thinks here.

Ok...So I dont consider looking/watching porn cheating. But I caught my husband with a profile at a sex website. On it his profile said he was divorced and had no kids (we have 2 and are married) This site basically solicites sex. It is meant for people to find others to "have fun" with. on his profile he typed things like "looking for a night of commitment free fun" and he goes away to places for his job...but posted where he was going. (ex. he went to daytona two weekends ago...his response to an email from a girl on this website said " I will be in daytona this weekend and would really like to meet up...have drinks...dinner and maybe more...") He swears he never met up with any of the girls...that he was just "curious what was out there," but would you still consider this cheating? Whether he met up with them or not aside...would you consider this "sex solicitation" cheating?

I want to purchase a home and I was wanting to apply to see if I qualify for the FHA loan. I live in Amarillo, Texas. I am married and don't have any children. Im a full time student and my husband works for a meat packing plant. My 26 yr old sister and her two children have been living with us for the past 3 yrs. My sister doesnt work so for the last two yrs, well this would be the third, we have been claiming her children on our taxes. My question is: Would I be able to use her two children as dependents when applying for the home loan? Could my husband use me as a dependent since I dont work? My husband and I are both 23 yrs old. Any help is appreciated
