If so, how did you regain your faith - but without Bible quotes, please?

Thanks:)

Yes, during a really bad breakup. My doubt was not about his existence, but if he cared. I think time has healed most of that. Yet I am Bipolar, so I go through long stages of depression that are pretty bleak. I try to transcend them by saying it is my brain chemistry, not reality. Other people, like family and friends help. Then I have my more lucid moments where I see God working in ways I didn't recognize.

Yes, i doubted god on and off for most of my life. In fact i doubted the idea so much that i did (and continue to do) research and very careful study of god, religion, and everything related...

I lost what little faith i had around the time i was a senior in High School. To ask for bible verses to bolster your faith seems to me that you have some strong emotional attachment to your religion even though your mind tells you something isn't right. Emotions can be deceptive. My advice is to read varying opinions on religion.... Learn the history of your religion and it's texts. Study the context of that history. Learn all you can about what it is you seem to WANT to believe and then decide on weather or not what evidence you've found is enough to submit to that emotional attachment.

Yes I have had very deplorable moments that just of a sudden I found myself doubting and asking question of God's existence.
Even now it is just because I have grown spiritually, the days are really hard but I know that even if the night is as long as what, the day will soon come.
When I really realised myself doubting, I repented and ask God to forgive me and today I am continuing in the race.
My dear, it is not easy but God is the winner and I have taken His side.
Remain blessed.

i think most people have at some point - but they regain faith... by looking at the big picture, or evidences in their lives.. it's an interesting world. http://honorablepassion.wiki.com/steps - my research as of late.. have a 'god exists' file at the bottom that if you scan through the first couple pages gets pretty cool pretty quick :P

kinda getting interested in animal 'instincts', and the masons lately (organization that has created the mormons, jehovas witnesses, christian science, theosophy (new age), scientology... even helped put 'wicca' into the 'form' that it is. - "baals fire" is what mayday is derived from.

all the greatest minds have alluded to their being a god - stephen hawking, eienstein, newton.. aristotle even said that there's an 'unmoving mover' which gets to the root of the matter.

which reminds me.. what IS your business? CoS and OLHP - among others have taken my interest as of late. If you're of either - i'd probably have a question or 2 for ya.

Only for a short time. I was very religious as a child, then for a while, I doubted the existance of god. I started thinking about this and the more I yhough, the more certain I became that he does not exist. I now believe with a degree of confidence that he does not exist. The only reason I will not say that I am certain is that it is impossible to prove or disprove his existence

I did for a short time in high school. My boyfriend died at the age of 18 and I couldn't understand why He would let someone so young and full of potential die. It took time (about a year) to realize that He has a bigger plan and knows what He's doing. So, in a nutshell...ya. I doubted that God made a mistake and stopped caring, but I was SO wrong!

I've never doubted God for a minute & I've never read the Bible so I won't quote from it

Yeah, I thought I was getting smarter than that. Then I started delving into ancient mythology and astronomy and ancient history and zoology and modern day events and the coming economic depression and eventually too many things added up for something to NOT be going on. I mean, nobody sees what's going on? Yeah right...

Yes, but not for years. Once I realized there was no God, the illusion of the certainty of faith vanished.

Doubted God?

YES, I did doubt God when life seemed overwhelming. What brought me back to God?

Friends, family support, beauty of nature, silence, & making myself stilled and quiet.

I have much gratitude in my life.
