Now and again I notice the time thats set on my computer changes to like an hour ahead than what it should be. And I havent made any changes. Why does this happen?

You may be configured to the incorrect timezone (or not have the daylight savings option checked) - either way, if you have the option to sync to Internet time, it will be adjusting automatically to the wrong time. Easy to fix - either correct what timezone you are in, or disable Internet time syncing

Ignore the first response - if your battery were at fault you would likely see other issues occurring, like application failures (some features actually check against the BIOS time-setting to see if setting have been tampered with to get around copy-right protections).

the computer has a clock similar tou a wrist watch, it has a small batter inside that will keep the time even when you unplug your computer. some times this battery can go bad and cause the clock to work improperly especially when the computer is shut down/ restarted. the only think you can do to fix it would be to find the battery and replace it, it has to be rechargible. it is probably the size of a nicle or a quarter
