Do not ask a pharmacist for medical advice, not take the advice of anyone on this site. I see too many answers that might be harmful to the patient.

If it is known to be medically sound, yes. The question there is, do you know enough about the issue that the question is about to draw an intelligent conclusion? If not, get medical advise. If you can't afford to go see a doctor, take it up with Web MD. Advice from people can be very unreliable. Is your life really worth it?

There is much information on the web. Personally, I often don't agree with the mainstream medical professionals. There are times I do need their help, though. My attitude is that it is my health and I make the final decisions. No doctor gives me consent for anything - he gives me advice which I feel free to take or leave. Unfortunately, too often now days doctors are no better than drug pushers.

If you're talking about a simple headache and someone advises taking an Advil, then yes, you can take this advice without a doctor's approval (not consent). For more complex or potentially critical issues, only a fool would do that.

Haveing medical assistance is always good for you. It will never hurt b/c then you would know what is wrong with you. Other people can't determine what your doctor can. Doctors run test and exams to make sure they know what is wrong with you. All people her that aren't in the medical feild are this might work or this helped once. Always seek medical assistance if you are in doubt.
