I'm indebted to another questioner for inspiring this admittedly-daft thought.

If you become Born Again as a Christian, and you do that through the symbolism of baptism in water...if you later lose your faith, do you become a Dead Again Christian? And is there some ritual involving throwing soil over yourself? I know of course there isn't, but I was just stuck with the fact that there probably should be. Newtonian principles and all that - equal and opposite reactions etc. The 'dead again' part of the question stands though - is that how it feels?

I am building a smallish end table/audio rack for my home theater equipment. Because I want it to look more like an end table I'm enclosing 3 of the sides and only leaving the front open. Some of my equipment generates quite a bit of heat so i'm planning to use some computer case fans to add some ventilation to the back becasue they are quiet, small, and reletivly cheap. What i would really like is to have them wired in some way that they only turn on when the equipment is being used; is there any way to accomplish this? I'm fairly handy and wouldn't have any problem wireing or soldering anything if there isn't a cheap product already out there.

I've got an ancient dell (manufactured with Win98 but I installed XP on it, thats how old it is) and lately I've had problems with the display. When I boot up (or attempt to anyway) I see nothing on the screen. The monitor detects that its plugged into something because if you unplug it, it'll say "check cable". If its plugged in, and the computer is off, the LED light will blink. If it's plugged in and the comp is on, normally it would be solid. Now when I turn it on, it blinks as if the comp is off and I get nothing. All of the hardware is stock (except for a dvd-drive, sound card, and a new hard drive which has been working ever since I got them). I never installed a new graphics card, I use the one that is built into the motherboard's chipset which I assume is now broken. So.. that being said, does anyone have any ideas? Oh and I know its not the monitor because I've tried two others and they both do the same thing.
