As far as I know, the U.S. has signed the U.N. declaration of human rights and should uphold its principles when dealing with immigration. If you can't guarantee the freedom and security of the people who live in your country, you're not fulfilling your moral obligation.

It's not about whether or not your in favor of illegal immigration, it's about whether you handle it with compassion or sheer racism.

All white people answering the same way, huh? It figures...

It's hilarious how you all think that you are entitled to be american but they aren't. What have you done to get this priviledge?
Nothing, that's what. It's just luck. You were there before them? Laughable. Native iindians were there before you came as immigrants yourselves and slauthered them.

If any recently immigrated person is reading this and is affected by the intolerance and lack of compassion of these answers, well i'm sorry for giving them a place to express their prejudices.

Well if you want to go on the law side of the argument, they did break the law by immigrating illegally. Technically they should be put in jail.

But, there is a good reason they came here the way they did. Many other countries simply do not have enough jobs to support their people, so these people come here looking for a better life. Personally I feel that our laws need to be changed to make immigration easier for people who need to come here. And Americans need to end their predjudice.

Good query. If they fairly wish to aid their possess humans it appears like they might become a member of the Peace Corps and pass down there and aid them. Or, they might quit the "Brain Drain" and when they get their tuition schooling right here they might return and aid their nation with their abilities. The ones who might help their international locations out of 3rd global popularity are the Engineers, IT Techs, scientists, academics, trade directors, physicians, and different authorities who get their educations within the US or Europe. But, sadly for the ones left at house, the ones humans on no account go back. Needless to mention the one ones left in the ones international locations are the low expert. Those are those crossing our borders illegally and disrupting our nation's economic climate, social constitution and academic procedure,~ to call a couple of. Let's opt for it Harley!! LOL!!

Why should I have compassion for someone who willfully breaks our laws. Have you ever lived in an area with a high population of illegals,I doubt it. As far as what right do I have to complain,I have every right to especially being a veteran. I bet your spineless butt would run the other direction,it's people like you that will cause the downfall of this country. My next question since you have brought it up,didn't the Spanish pretty much do the same thing in Mexico, cept they killed off the entire population or enslaved them which eventually resulted in their deaths anyway, all for gold. I guess that makes it OK.

No racism included.....IF...one breaks the law and being illegal in this country clearly defines a crime...then...liablity as far as rights go is rescinded. Which brings along another point to ponder...ever think of this?....."Why is it...a murderer...a rapist...etc...WILL be provided an attorney if they can't afford one..(for free).BUT---if a contractor breeches his agreement...YOU have to hire your own attorney and you have committed no wrong???"....go figure. Also....people get on this "kick" about illegals will do jobs the average American is not willing to do for less...TRUE!!!!!!...But if the average American was entitled to free health care for them and their entire 28 family members with no deductibles or co pays/food stamps/heating & housing assistance...etc...then yes...we could pick apples for $2 an hour also!! Do the math...28 people (who live in one house) multiplied by $2 an hour...for say 12 hours a day...thats comes to $3,360 a week.(5 day work week)..which is just spending money for the legal, American taxpayers are paying their primary expenses for them.

America signed the UN declaration; But you fail to mention that other countries need to take responsibility for their poor and not continue to allow people to thrive off the American people. No racism is indicated by what I have seen so far. Race cards are ill advised when talking about humanitarian efforts.

It has nothing to do with racism. It has to do with them ruining our schools by putting too many kids in them, when they are illegally here and not earning enough to pay their share in taxes even if they paid taxes.

'Freedom' does not mean you don't incarcerate people who break the law, and no government can 'guarantee security' short of locking its citizenry up, which kind of goes against the 'freedom' idea.

Nothing about human rights says we have to pay for them when they are here illegally at the expense of our own people.

Emergency medical care until they stabalize and can be deported, yes. Twelve years of education for every child plus, plus, plus......NO.

And by the way, if I build something, my kids and grandkids and great grandkids are more entitled to it than kids of people I never met. Our ancestors built this country for their children above all. Our laws reflect that. We DO have a right to be here, and they DON'T.

no....many of the human rights we provide is not available in other countries. because they dont want to become a citizen, they are not entitled to these rights. they live here ILLEGALY! so they are against the law. if they go for a green card or for citizenship, then they get the stuff. Even though they are illegal immigrants, america has agreed to allow illegal immigrints to go and get one without prejudice. They just choose not to go

Please stop the insanity. The Constitution of the United States is a document put into effect to benefit American Citizens. Being an Illegal Immigrant AND NOT AN AMERICAN CITIZEN does not constitute your use of our Constitution! Our country has no moral obligation to people who frauded our governmental policies and came here ILLEGALLY!

We should let them benefit from our Constitution? Maybe they should let us break their laws then? Is this the fair trade you are looking for?

Also...stop blaming everything on racism. I don't hear anyone bitching on here about LEGAL Mexicans, Hispanics, blacks, Asians, Italians, Germans....etc., etc., etc.

O.K., you got us. Bush, throw back the borders wide. We are no longer a country and everyone can vote in our elections not matter what country you're from. The U.N. has beaten us, everyone come out from hiding. The U.N. is made up of nothing but thugs who are using that organization to weaken the US. We need to remove ourselves from that organization and any treaty associated with it.

I have nothing against illegal immigrants. My beef is with the people hiring them. If you want to work in our country, go through the right channels. It's not extremely difficult to get a work visa.
