No its not stupid to wait, after all your only a virgin once right? Guys pressure you because at your age thats all they think about is getting laid. It's never stupid to wait for love before you have sex. Your finding it difficult to say no because of your own hormones, peer pressure, and your curious. Wait until you feel its ok to do it.

Being a guy I can tell you that most guys just want to get some, and if they know your a virgin they want you even more and your pretty on top of it. Guys think about sex every second of every day.
You are not wrong to wait. Your reason for waiting is maybe naive but honorable. Waiting for love can get you hurt because some guys will play along and convince you that they love you.
My best advice is listen to your gut. Don't ever let someone pressure you into sex. Hopefully you will find someone who respects you and your decision.

No its not a stupid reason to wait. Its an excellant reason!!! You can never go back and start over, and you only have a first time once....make it special. I hate how unemotional sex has become for most people these days....why do you think the spread of STD's is so rampant? No one cares, and no one bothers to ask.

So...H**L ya WAIT!!! You arent the only one who is, and you wont be the last....but you definately are among the few....take pride in that and dont let ANYONE pressure you into changing your mind!!! Its YOUR body, and your decision!!!

Sorry...got a little carried away....but you get the point right?

I know from experience that these guys that are pressuring you want so bad to be the first with you.

I know that I have been called frigid, anything to try to make me give in and prove them wrong.

I've learned that after they have used you, they no longer see you in the same light.

I've learned they like to brag of their conquest.

I've learned what it's like to walk home.

I've learned that I had a choice & I made the right choice.

For me then, it was not up for discussion or heavy petting.

I want to say that my wedding night was a very special and beautiful event and the love & desire that was showered on me by my husband is a memory well worth the waiting.

When I think of all the other scenerios that could have happened, I tremble.

We count our blessing every day.

It's your choice. What will it be? Good luck & God Bless You !!!

Hi Jess,
I'm female 20 years old and lost my virginity at 19... to the man I love and still love dearly.
My ex boyfriend when I was your age wanted sex, it was difficult and embarrassing to say no but when I think of it today, I'm glad I stood by my beliefs and stood my ground.

The man I lost my virginity to never pressured me, it just happened. We are very much in love today, are engaged and celebrating our 2 year anniversary on the 27th of this month.

It's getting harder for you now because you've been asked more than once (I'm guessing), perhaps your friends have lost theirs and your feeling the peer pressure.

Your virginity is something special and should'nt be taken away by just anybody.
My friends lost theirs throughout high school from 16 years old to 18 years old. At first I felt so left out after hearing news every Monday that someone else has joined the group of "non-virgins", I started feeling pressured and considered have a one-night-stand.

I'm happy with my decision and the waiting has paid off, I've given my virginity to my soul mate and the special thing is that he has given his to me.

I think thats good for you if you want to wait until you are in love. But guys are always going to pressure a girl into having sex. That's just life. But if you really believe in something then you will stick with it. And if you do decide to have sex that's okay too. Just be safe about it.

are you really going to listen to what some old, nasty, musty, says?NO its a great reason to wait.you are really pretty. HELLO YOU ARE REALLY REALLY PRETTY-so you describe-SO OF COURSE GUYS ARE GOING TO PRESSURE YOU,ALL THEY WANT OR SOME IS TO GET YOU IN BED ...AND SO ON
do you really want your teenage daughter saying, mom when was your first time and you say 17-18.then she of course says well if you had sex at 17-18 then i might as well!?i know i would not like that at all!!TO BE SURE THAT YOU LOVE THE GUY SAY"guy,i want to wait to have sex,is that ok with you?"of coures if their reply is..uh..uhh? then you should automatically know that, that is a no and that your wasting time.if you've really made it clear that you want to wait, and i mean straight up hey im not having sex with you i already told you that i am waiting ,clear then who are you hanging with.whoever it is needs to know that you have already said NO and they need to RESPECT that if they cant then kick'em
dont get your self alone with a guy pressuring you to have sex you already know what that can lead to right.right?(rape) its very emotional and no one wants that

wait for the right guy

GIVE THIS GIRL A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE!
Your decision is commendable.
Listen, guys will be guys and will always try to pressure you for sex.
As long as you remain firm in your ideals, nothing and no one can shake you.
Waiting for the right guy may seem like a drag to friends, but this is your life and your choice. More than likely the guy you've been waiting for also shares your thinking and has been waiting for you, too. FIRM RESOLVE--it's your life! Live it the way you want to.

Its not dumb at all to wait until you find someone that you actually love. I waited until I was 19 to lose mine, I thought the guy I was with loved me, but it ended pretty bad. Trust me the first time isn't magical like some make it out to be unless that person truely cares about you, and if they do they won't pressure you into anything. Virginity is something you can only give to one person make sure it counts.
