Would you like tea with that? Since in you in the mood to order people around. Here is a thought, go do some research if you want to know.

Yes, if you are using it to illegaly copy copyrighted material, it is illegal. Anyone old enough to remember Napster, the original version, not the new pay service, knows that is illegal. So, if you are using it to copy songs without paying anything for the songs, you are breaking the law.

Sources for this information, being in touch with current events for the past few years.

For those too young to really remember Napster, which surely isn't many, if was the greatest. But, those days are over.

The copying of any copyrighted material without permission of the owner is illegal. If lime wire allows you to do this, then you are breaking the law when you do so, and lime wire is enabling you. Lime wire itself is not actually illegal, but it can be held civilly responsible to the owners of the copyrighted material for their loss of revenue. Look for a copy of the supreme court opinion.

It is illegal, they are entitled compensation for the service they provide and it isnt fair that you are downloading music and they dont see a penny of it because you got it for free.

Would you want for it to be done to you? Uhm Nope!

It is illegal to download copyrighted music without paying for it, or having permission to do so. So if you are downloading Jay-Z without paying, they are going to lock you up and throw away the key.
