I am currently planning my family's trip 2 disney world. I'm 11 years old. I don't really feel like telling you everything I know but, I'll go ahead and do it...

MEAL TIP: Most of the places in Disney World offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu. Eat your big meal at lunch time and have a snack at supper. This helps you save some money by eating a big lunch instead of a big dinner.

LINE TIP: Some attractions in Disney World have two lines. You have the choice to go to the right or left. Always go to the left. We did this on Tower of Terror and Pirates of the Caribbean. The lines are not bad on the left side.

RAIN TIP: If it starts to rain don't worry usually the rain storm will be gone in 10-30 minutes. Most people are running for the gates at this time. By the time the rain has stopped the park has cleared out and lines are shorter.

EXTRA MAGIC HOUR: Mouse Trips loves Extra Magic Hour. If you are staying at an on site resort you should take advantage of this offer. You can get on a lot of attractions before the park opens to the general public. For more on Extra Magic Hour click here.

HAVE A PARTY OF 5: There are several on site resorts at Disney World that can accommodate parties of five in the standard type rooms. They are the Port Orleans Riverside, Deluxe Savannah Rooms at Animal Kingdom, Contemporary, Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk, Polynesian and some rooms at the Grand Floridian. Also try out the new family suites at the All Star Music Resort

DISNEY TRANSPORTATION: Take advantage of this offer from Disney. Nothing beats the monorails, boats and buses back to your resorts for a mid day rest. And try to get in the front seat of the monorail. Not only does it offer amazing views but you can also ask the Cast Member for your co-pilot license.

LAST MINUTE PRIORITY SEATING: You can make last minute Priority Seating Reservation by picking up any pay phone in Disney World and dialing *88. This call is free and allows you to make priority seating reservations.

FASTPASS: Take advantage of FASTPASS at Disney World. This feature is free to everyone and allows you to cut down the time you wait in line. Only certain attractions offers this benefit. Click Here for more details. FASTPASS can really save you lots of time.

COLLECTING MEMORIES: You never want to forget your Disney vacation. So make sure you pick up an extra park map and take a napkin with you and other small things to remind you of your Disney vacation. Many years down the road when you look back at that park map you may be amazed at how many things have changed. Its always neat to keep these little memories in your scrapbook.

Disney's official site is a great place to get info on everything the resort has to offer. Visit http://www.disneyworld.com

My favorite restaurants at Disney are listed below:

Boma - Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Cape May - Disney's Beach Club Resort
Coral Reef - EPCOT - Living Seas Pavilion
Shogun Steakhouse - EPCOT - Japan Pavilion
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show - Disney's Polynesian Resort
50s Prime Time Cafe - Disney Studios
Pepper Market Cafe - Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
California Grill - Disney's Contemporary Resort
1900 Park Fair - Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Ohana's and Kona Cafe - Disney's Polynesian Resort

To get discount park tickets, purchase from these legitimate Disney sellers:
Your Local Disney Store
AAA (membership required)
Costco (membership required)
Sam's Club (membership required)

Listed below are my favorite Disney Resorts:

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Polynesian
Beach Club
Coronado Springs

Non-Disney hotels - but located nearby:

Best Western Lakeside - Kissimmee
Sheraton Safari Resort - Lake Buena Vista
Royal Plaza - Lake Buena Vista - across from the Downtown Disney

you left out info like price range etc. are you staying at disney? if you do they provide your transportation all over disney property. i like the animal kingdom lodge and wilderness lodge the best. they are also the more expensive ones. if you stay at animal kingdom they have special animal activities for the kids that stay there that will make it all the more memorable. all the resorts have restaurants. if and when you go to epcot you can pick your favorite cuisine from mexican to chinese to french -- its all very good. cheap disney food -- like burgers -- are really bad though. disney's web site has all the information you need on disney.

downtown disney is a good place to go for dinner. bongo's is gloria estefans restaurant and one of the few places on disney property i visit regularly. my other faves are a bit pricier -- the sushi place at the swann, the african places in animal kingdom and artist point at wilderness lodge.

if your kids are young i would skip mgm -- the studio tours i find tedious and the big draw is the aerosmith roller coaster and the tower of terror. the muppet show is cute but not worth park admission.

if you decide to repost you could be more specific -- do you want to stay at disney? -- sea world is really a great place for the money -- so is bush gardens in tampa -- its an hour away. how long will you be here? whats your budget? how old are the kids? these are all valid questions for narrowing the field.

There is no charge for parking in any of the Disney World Hotels. As a Disney resort guest, you receive free parking in all Disney Hotels, Theme Parks, Water Parks, and the Downtown Disney Area. You also receive complimentary Disney transportation via Disney buses, boats, and monorails to the Disney attractions. Have a great trip!

Check out www.allearsnet.com. They even have menues.

Here are my tips
1.Make your priority seating reservations as soon as possible. Most of the restaurants accept them 90 days from the first day of your vacation. You are aloud to start calling at 7:00 am. Start dialing at 6:58 am and keep hitting redial until you are through. You might even want to call ahead of time and write down the number sequence that you have to punch in. You can get through to a real person faster that way. For instance Cinderella’s Castle usually books up by 7:05am. Call (407) WDW-DINE and ask them the exact date that you can call.
2.I always buy the park hopper pass, because I try never to stay at the Magic Kingdom after 11:30am. I get there when they open. The opening celebration is really neat. They sometimes open early for Disney Hotel Guests. Check on line for the extra magic hours. You can find them at www.Disney.com. I go directly to the rides that my kids want to ride. We may pick up a Fast Pass on the way. If you have more adults then kids then you can spread out your fast passes. (pick up more than 1 ride at a time, One adult with each child). For instance my daughter loves the Honey Pots so we go directly there sometimes at 7:00 am. We never have a line. Sometimes they even let us ride 2 or three times without getting out of our car.
3.Always plan your afternoon reservations at one of the other parks. Unless you have lunch at the Castle (try to make it early)
4.The Hoop – De – Doo and the Luau (at the Polynesian) are great evening shows. Your ticket covers an all you can eat meal at your table (not a buffet) and all you can drink Beer, Wine and soft drinks. I believe that you can call up to 2 years in advance. Call ASAP for the best table. My One year old had a blast this Christmas.

Have Fun!!!!

The websites offer great resources, but the best resource I found before my first trip was a book called 'Birnbaum's Guide to WDW'. It has extensive info on each hotel and what it offers, as well as each ride, store, and restaurant in the four big parks and the two water parks. I buy a new one each year before our annual trip to see what's new. It'a also helpful to see what's there so you can plan out what you want to do ahead of time.

We always enjoy the 'themed' resaurants, like the Prime Time Diner and Sci-Fi Drive In Theater at MGM. At the Prime Time, my 63 yr old mom had her green beans 'airplaned' into her mouth by our waitress before she could have her dessert. It was a blast!

Have a great time!
