Did you buy a car off of eBay and ship it internationally? What did you do to feel comfy doing so with such a big ticket item? Have you used a third party appraisal and/or inspection service?

Thanks for the answer, sounds like you've got a lot of insight into buying cars via eBay. :-)

Any ideas on shipping them out to international destinations? Likely would be by Sea.

I have bought a few cars off of eBay and I have sold hundreds of cars on eBay being a car dealer. In fact, I just sold one this morning. Here is the deal. If you buy a car on eBay, you will have MUCH better luck if you buy from a licensed reputable dealer. First of all, a dealer has to be bonded and insured. Second of all, a dealer is not out to screw one person and run because his only pile of crap is now sold.......he has to sell others and that would damage his reputation. I have found that an individual on eBay is much more likely to either lie about condition or not have the knowledge to correctly describe it. If you buy from a guy....TALK TO HIM on the phone and ask many questions. Ask him the same questions different ways to see if he is consistent. If he sounds like an upright guy, has many good feedbacks with CAR SALES (not just buying 99 cent dvd's)......then you are ok! Third party appraisals and inspection services are geared toward convincing you not to buy the car. Here is why......first of all, if you hire them and then buy the first car, you are no longer a potential customer. They want your money again from the second car, third car, and so on. Secondly, they don't want ANY liability when you do buy the car if something happens later. They are told to make SURE you don't buy anything. This is coming from a buddy who used to work for a mobile inspection service. GOOD LUCK!

If he is received well suggestions, verify what he is bought ago and verify the feedback. Ask the vendor if you'll view and scan force b4 you bid. I purchased an MR2 off ebay for £25... sincere, certainly not regarded it or scan drove it, and it was once taxed and MOT'd first-rate £25 I've ever spent it is certainly not permit me down, handed it is MOT while the opposite one expired and not using a disorders. If you get a intestine intuition for a auto (I do) then I move with it and certainly not purchased a foul auto but. Hope this is helping and feature a hiya Hun ;-)

Yep, try to buy from a dealer on Ebay.

Most dealers have gone to listing and selling cars on Ebay, and they take pride in that part of their business.
