One of the important things in my question is to define the subject. As we shall proceed to discuss Islam, I would like to hear a definition of the meaning of the word "Islam" because it is an Arabic word. I have heard more than one definition of this word; so I would like to hear yours. "Muslim" is another Arabic word which ought to be defined for the benefit of the non-Arabs who may read it very often without understanding its full meaning, or may confuse it with the word Islam?

1. Matthew quotes Isaiah as saying “"therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel". Facts – Jesus was not named Immanuel (Immanuel does not mean “divine”). The original text does not refer to a virgin but a young woman of marriageable age (almah). So Matthew’s account is either a cross-misinterpretation or lies

2. Luke records that Joseph and Mary took Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem when he was about 40days old after which they went straight back to Nazareth (Luke 2:22,39). Matthew’s version is that Joseph & Mary fled to Egypt immediately after Jesus was born and stayed there for several years (Matt. 2:13-14).

In light of these contradictions, why do some Christians insist that we should not interrogate the bible?

right about now im crying! (seriously) cuz im 14 and me and my family just got done moving. my parents are alot older than an average 14 year olds parents so i tend to think about what would happen to them when i leave to go to school, or leave with one to go somewhere and leave the other one at home..... im so afraid that something would happen to them i get really scared and get butterflies in my stomach. also since we moved i go to a new school. at this school people don't talk to me at all!!!!! i know what your thinking oh its a new school you need to adjust,,, this school is so screwed up i don't even wanna talk about it! and then i hate the school now i wish that these 4 years of high school was over and get on with my life.. and i understand how hard it is in the real world! i feel like time is running out for ME! why do i fell this way? no stupid answers, you will get REPORTED!!!!!!

On receipt of the change they tipped the waiter 2 USD.The balance USD 3 was shared 1.5 each among the TWO.
