No they don't.
Apparently people who are blind from birth have no concept of what it's like to 'see'. Conversely, sighted people have no concept of what it's like to be profoundly blind.
When sighted people close their eyes they see black (the insides of their eyelids)
When blind people close their eyes the don't even see black, it's as if they do not have any eyes at all.
I feel desperately sorry for blind people and hope that in the future, medical science will find both the reasons for blindness and cures for people who find themselves in this most unfortunate position.

They have no point of reference. If I dream of a cat, it is because I've seen a cat with my eyes and registered it to memory. Blind people don't have that facility if blind from birth.

My brother has been blind from birth and has relied on his other senses to store memories. He says that when he dreams, his sense of touch ( he will be feeling objects etc ), smell, taste, sound and feelings such as fear or joy somehow unite to create an experience which we call a dream.
