why are you teaching her? If you are short tempered find the answer to WHY It must be difficult having Mom not speaking to you! Tell her you are sorry, you are short tempered, and you are willing to work on that issue, maybe you can ask her for advice. It is not the wisest way for Mom to approach any problem, nothing really gets settled by her actions. Good Luck!

It is easy to lose your cool while teaching a sibling who either cannot understand what you are teaching or argues with you while you are teaching. Your mother must be taken aback when she saw you at your ugliest when you shouted at your sibling.
To make up ,find ways to help her in her studies without being cynical, sarcastic, impatient and loud. Continue to do this consistently and both your mum and sibling will know that you have their interest at heart.

Just go about your business and ignore her. Play her game better than she plays her own.

Use the Rule of 21. Wait for her to ask you questions. Count them. Until she reaches 21 questions and then give her an answer to the 21st question.

Fact: people play games to get what they want. So dish it out when they do.

you are not a good teacher. good teachers are not short tempered, or if they are aware, they control their tempers. Anyway what is done cannot be undone. Apologize to your sister and promise your mom that you won't do it again. Your mother may pretend not to speak to you, but she can hear you.

Did you apologize to your sister first, and then to your mom? If not, go in that order.

Ask your mom to forgive you because we all make mistakes. Tell her that you made a mistake and you are repented of it. If you are religious, tell her that " If God forgave me, and he is greater than you and me, Why can't you forgive me?"

If she still don't talk to you, DON'T FORCE HER, but don't talk to her either. Respect her, but don't talk to her. Tell her that since she is not willing to forgive you, you will then not talk to her either, but you will always love her.

Your mom loves you, just give her time & while you are giving her time learn how to deal with your anger, & short temper, sooner or later it will come back & bite you in your butt.....
