Why is MSG considered toxic or allergenic? Since it is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, shouldn't it release glutamic acid upon reacting with stomach HCl? Isn't glutamic acid a natural and required amino acid?

Here's the deal. I'm thirty, and my mother and I have never gotten along, PARTICULARLY since she went through menopause when I was twelve. Since then, she's turned into a raving *****.

Now, seriously, I try to control my temper when she loses her sanity for a day, but it's getting really hard.

I'll give you an example (this just happened tonight) of something that happens pretty frequently so that you get a general idea of what's going on.

My parents agreed to watch my son this evening, so we all agreed that we would be there at eight. I am very punctual, and was there at EXACTLY eight. I told my son to tell my mother we were there, and that we were about to leave (she was upstairs).

She came downstairs, yelling, and asked, "What the hell do you want?" Okay. Whoa.

I replied, "I told him to tell you we were leaving."

"I've had a f*cking horrible day, and I don't need this sh!t..."

"What are you talking about?"

"YOU."

... And she slammed the door. WTF?

would God place judgement on a person because they didn't like them or treat them unfairly because they were black or of another nationality i really belive we are judged by the way we treat others and not because of our color ,race,or the way we look what do you think esp. when you know there are people that do judge by color maybe that person wont give a promotion because they are black,or a bank loan, or maybe not even serve them in a restaurant

for the most part any thought or decision throughout congress a majority of senators and house members today speak along party lines. there are some exeptions but for the most part they do seperate.. that being said is it a mindset or is it a party agenda.. along with do you think most people that express their beliefs do you think they truely agree with what they are saying...every large group I have been involved there is always multiple views and opinions but it doesnt look that way in the political arena.. So why do you think that is?

I just broke up with my gf at the beginning of 2007 and also the first day of school. I was really crushed and i tried to be strong. It's only been 10 days that we're apart but i can't help it that she's getting along fine. She said she just wants us to be friends and we can but i still want her so badly. At school, i can't even look at her the same way like i used to in the past because it'll remind me of how much i missed her. I sent messages to her cell about how i'm suffering and how much i missed and think of her and everything. She never replied back though. We've been friends even before we were a couple. my type 1 diabetic friend has an upcoming doctor's appointment where she will be asked if she wants a pump instead of giving herself shots.....she doesn't know if she should get it, though, because 1. she plays three sports 2. she doesn't want to have a pump attached to her all the time 3. lately, she hasn't had to give herself shots that frequently so it's not even a hassel..........

on the other hand, everyone she has spoken to has told her that the pump is the best thing that's happened to them. what should she do? any input?? thanks!
