Why is that mexican american, cuban american, chinese american and so on and so forth are considered seperate minorities, but white people are lumped under 'white'? Why is there no german american, irish american, scottish american, ect minorites? If it just went by color, why are cuban, peutro rican and mexican all considered seperate? They're all the same color, just like white people are (actually, if you look at an italian and a swede, they are definately NOT the same color)
My example- a college application or the SATS both ask for a race- peurto rican and mexican are seperate on those, but 'white' is just lumped together. Can anyone give me a logical reason for this?

I filed for support when my son was 9mos old because I resided in a shelter and his father didn't follow through with our verbal agreement. Our son is 8 now. His father just got a job and had a new baby in November of 06. He spent December of 05 till New Years Eve of 06 pretending to love me and living with me, apparently we were working things out. Mind you we have not been together since our son was 9mos old. I fell in love again to find out about this baby. To make a long story short, New years I found out that he was doing all of this boo loving just to get me to drop current child support. We go to court tomorrow and my question is will the courts be lenient on him for current child support (keep in mind he is behind 8yrs) because he has a new baby? You can't help my heart but please help ease my mind. I now have a good job my own place , car everything I need and I make more money than him.

I've noticed that I am drinking a lot more water and juices now. I can't seem to quench my thirst. I know these are so much better for me than Coke or Pepsi - but I'm just concerned. If you stopped drinking sodas, has this happened to you?

one of my wife's co-workers husband is in jail for a traffic violation in 2002, not a dui. cook county is
demanding $2500.00. i was told by the jail administration that bail bonds are illegal in illinois.
does this mean the wife will have to pay $2500.
to get her husband out of jail?
