honesty,
loyalty,.... to you even when your wrong
kindness,..... to children, animals, difficult family members
sense of humor,.... because you'll need to laugh
and yes I was lucky enough to find one 38 years ago

Honesty, loyalty, compassion.
I personally believe you can't have a good relationship without those qualities.
