My 14 month old has been facinated with books since about 9 months old she will sit in your lap and read the same book over and over again then get up and get another one to repeat the process she does this for about 15 minutes, she doesn't grab the book while your reading, it's her favorite thing to do anytime your sitting were she can sit in your lap she'll bring you a book to read, I have 2 older kids and they never were like this sure they would bring me a book but after the first 2 pages they were up again running around playing. Question is does anyone elses toddlers around her age do this? oh and it's not something I want to change I love that she loves me to read to her just curios about other baby's doing this.

.
I'm spiritual, non-denominational. I'm gifting myself with the adventure of attending an overnight New Years retreat in the Bay Area ~ ~ We will be gathering with others at a Zen retreat and sharing meditation through the evening, at mid-night and awakening early for early morning meditation. I do meditate, yet not, as yet, to the deeper level that they do as at this Zen meditation center. We're leaving to drive to the Bay Area this afternoon and looking forward to it.

My question is this . . . I attended a half day meditation there some weeks back and noticed that some, including women, had their hair shaved off.

Why do they do this.? I'm respecting of persons of all faiths and sometimes wonder why a person of a certain faith does something so, just wondering.

Do you know why persons in the Buddha faith shave the hair on their head off? Appreciate insight.

When i play fetch with my dog, he goes to get the ball- but instead of coming back to me and dropping the ball- he runs in the other direction. He doesn't come when i try to coax him over, and if i quit the game to try to get the point across he doesn't understand. I want him to get better with retrieval and return, and i want him to know "drop it" eventually as well.

*Then when we play frisbee, he waits for it to hit the ground, then retrieves it and runs off. (the same as he does with fetch.)

My dog is very smart and trains very easily. I dont know how to teach him to play properly, but if i did I know that he could learn quickly. Like they say- if your dog is (repeatedly) doing something wrong, it is probably your fault.

If you can tell me what techniques you use (or used) -or even give me some professional advise, i would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm 17 (male) , my little brother is 12 and starting puberty. We've always had a really close bond, always got along. Our mom isn't in the picture, she passed away a long time ago, we live with our dad. Well anyway, my brother has a lot of questions, and out school doesn't do any sex ed/puberty program, so he's clueless. He was pretty frank with me, and asked if he could see me naked so he could see what a developed guy would look like. I'm a good example, because we have a good bond, he could ask questions and I could answer, and I've got the big muscles, hairy chest, and all that. I'm comfotable with it, and I really don't mind if he sees me. I'm just glad he isn't looking at porn or something. Nobody wants to see their dad naked, obviously, and he is usually at work anyway, so he isn't exactly a good person to ask. Is letting him see me naked morally wrong? Again, he asked, I don't have a problem with it. I'd just take off my clothes and let him look. Nothing sexual. Is it okay?

They will claim victory against the Soviet Union (in Afganistan), the United States of America, and Great Britan (in Iraq). Wouldn't be likely that they would mount a huge offensive? Would this lead to them launching more terror attacks on our soil?

Al Queda is constantly refered to but they are not the head of the snake. The root of our problem is radical Islam as a whole.
