If I'm a freelance translator, and I translate from English to German or vice versa, am I considered to be self-employed and do I have to register and pay tax?

I do not have an office, nor do I do any bookkeeping. I get paid in cash (for instance, I charge £20 per hour, and if I translated for 2 hours, I'll get £40 on that particular day).
I advertise my services in newspapers and sometimes I go on for 2 days without anyone calling me, and sometimes I translate for 3 days in a row. I earn about £800 a month. I'm just not quite sure if I should register as self-employed here in Britain?

My 360 system is messed up, and I think I am going to get a new one. If I get a new system then can I keep my current gamertag? Or would I have to create a new one?

People should not be expected to fit into 'male' or 'female' roles but be judged on their individual personalities?

I disagree wholeheartedly with the Catholic Church's 'women and men are different' thing, and roles for them because I know many women who are not typical women, and men who are not typical men.

Men shouldn't be criticised as gay for showing emotions and women shouldnt be judged at work, or expected to be maternal and submissive...

I met a guy online a while ago and we had exchanged phone numbers and we were good friends. After a while we met and he turned out to be a total moran - he was asking me out and when I refused to go out - he started harassing me - telling me that he would show up at my home & at my college. I totally stopped talking to him and after a year later he has started calling me on my home phone(I live with my parents). I dont want to involve my parents in this since I am old enough to handle this. What should I do about it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We are in the process of relocating to Canada from US. The destinations we have in mind are Toronto and Vancouver. Any suggestions? The concerns are weather, jobs, children's schooling system, public transportation, etc. Not so much into skiing. Thanks in advance and new years greetings!

"And so God killed every single first-born child in Egypt" Is that quote for real? If so, it doesn't seem to leave much room for interpretation. Since the bible is intended as a guide for all men, including the common man, and, since every bible does not come with an interpreter, how could the average person open the bible to that page and not conclude that god murdered innocent sin free children? I'm looking for serious answers. To anyone inclined to respond with defensive sarcasm or quotes from scripture - please don't bother.

I have been married to this man for over 25 years. He has never respected my opinion and has never indicated he found me sexually attractive throughout the marriage. Now our marriage is sexless. I have spoken with him and he says he finds me sexy but,"just doesn't know what to do" and that he wants to try to work on the marriage, though he never even touches me. My self esteem is rock bottom. I want to leave before I look back on my life and regret it. Am I just crazy? We have a 5 year old child who I love very much.

I had a significant fall approximately 2 years ago and my tailbone has hurt ever since. I have also developed very awkward bowel patterns, which may or may not be associated. Last night my pain was in the groin/symphisis pubis area. Is it referred pain? I had an x-ray some time ago in which I could (I thought) clearly see a break in the coccyx. The x-ray technician agreed, but the radiologist did not. What should my plan of action be? I do not want to be in pain anymore.

So far we have had three LBJ, Bush 1 and Bush 2. The first one got us up to our necks in Vietnam, the second didn’t finish the job, the third got us up to our necks in that mess in Iraq. Not a good record.
