So far we have had three LBJ, Bush 1 and Bush 2. The first one got us up to our necks in Vietnam, the second didn’t finish the job, the third got us up to our necks in that mess in Iraq. Not a good record.

Yes bush 1 lived in conneticut most of his life but when he ran for president it was from texas.

LOL...what a keen observation. Maybe we should think twice about electing Texan presidents...no offense to anyone. Sure lets make it a law.

Yeah, and don't forgot about when Texas was it's own country and the U.S. stood by and watched as they drove the Mexicans back across the border. People from Texas have more balls than any other state in this country. They will tell you how it is when they don't agree on something. I know, I lived there for 15 years. God bless Texas.

In a democracy it matter not who orders what but what the people decide about what they ordered. The failure to hold anyone to account for to decisions as catastrophic as the one you allude to is that of the average man.
Nothing else to add other than unless folk get out of their “it’s the economy, stupid” voting habits then, unless the economy goes to Hades, they will continue to vote for their country to go anywhere and take large portions of the globe with it.
