Oh trust me they have been focusing on us!
Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root had been awarded a $385 million dollar contract by Homeland Security to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency.
A new provision in the extended Patriot Act bill would allow Secret Service agents to arrest and jail protesters accused of breaching any security perimeter, even if the President or any other protected official isn't present. The definition of 'free speech zones' can be shifted around loosely and this would open the floodgates for protesters to be grabbed and hauled away in any circumstance at the whim of the Secret Service
There seems to be some discussion of implanting the real ID with the same technology that is being introduced by the National
Animal Identification System (NAIS) to track every individual livestock animal with a radio traceable biochip.
Read up on this stuff!

I'm not American but this sounds like a good idea.
If only Tony Blair would do the same here in the UK. We need more jobs and houses and have a Health Service that needs funding. The money he's wasted on the Afghan/Iraq war could have made a big difference.

Its a nice dream but it won't happen. The US is in a Global economy and Clinton entrenched us even more with the signing of North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). We are tied to the world economy which also extends politically and socially. Having said this, the best thing that can be done for Americans is to have a thriving economy. Our economy is doing great and the tax cuts were a major contributor. Tax cuts was the engine that improved the economy and made for record tax revenues. These government revenues were used to fund all the programs including entitlements & welfare. There have been no cuts in social programs so they benefited significantly.

Funny you should say that the year the gov. cut funding for Americorps (like Peace Corps but they serve in the US only) - the only government sponsored service organization that serves OUR OWN country.
