any one here bite there nails allot like Way to much how much do you bite them tell what point do you stop ?

Dose any one here feel they bite there nails way to much or just don't stop or cant. my friend bits her nails tell they bleed and there are no nails left but dose not stop who else is like this ?

Me. I used to do it till they bled but it got irritating because I would wake up at night and my fingertips would be in severe pain.

I've tried to stop. I can for awhile if I'm taking care of them, clipping, filing, painting them helps. Usually my husband just yells at me and takes my hands away from me, lol. That's partly my fault because I was trying to grow them one time and I told him, "If you see me try to bite them...just hit me and yell no". Now it's just a normal thing.

There are polishes that help you to stop, but I do know of some people who've just ate right through the polish and the taste didn't even bother them. Try getting some of that for your friend, if she's not a nail polish biter. Otherwise, get her a nice manicure set.

I"m also a nail biter..i've even tried that gross clear nail polish you wear that tastes horrible..lol but i managed to still mangle my nails...i know that when i get a professional manicure i actually leave my nails alone for a while but it never lasts....but I couldn't imagine biting my nails till they bled..and than doing it over and over again

I bite my nails as a habit and it is really awefull. Try holding something, such as a small stone, a little ball, or maybe try chewing gum. These things help me to not put my finger in my mouth. Remember, not only is nail biting bad for your fingers, your hands have tons of germs on them, unless you wash your hands every time you bite them... =[
