My 360 system is messed up, and I think I am going to get a new one. If I get a new system then can I keep my current gamertag? Or would I have to create a new one?

Yeah, you should be able to keep it... once you've got the new box up and running, it asks if you want to create a profile. One of the options there should be "Recover Gamertag From Xbox Live," and you can put in the old Gamertag there. It'll also ask for your MS Passport ID and password.

You can keep your current one if you want. Just recover it on the new 360.

yes you just need to do a recovery on the 360. its pretty simple. just go to recover gamertag ont he 360, and then leave it there.

As long as you have Xbox live gold or sliver you can transfer you gamer tag.
