This is the predicament I am in right now. Last week I sent a check to my university's bursar's office to pay my tuition. However, the check has been returned, for there was less money in my checking account than I needed. At the time I sent the check, I thought money was to be transferred from my savings account to the university's account. As an immigrant, I did not know what I was supposed to know. Anyway, I can't ask the bursar's office to redeposit the check right now because the office will be closed till Jan 2nd. I am out of country, so I can't send another check. The deadline is the 1st of January. I called the bank, and they said they cannot help me out until the 2nd of January. I wonder if there is a way I can appeal to the university for grace. If there is one, please let me know. Thank you.

that the older parents are when they give birth to children, the more likely their children are gonna have health problems, either physical or mental, well I have Asperger Syndrome, my dad was 41 & my mom was 39, only 6 months from being 40, when they gave birth to me, now my parents are almost 60, & I'm gonna be 19 in 2 weeks, how lame is that?, I've also always noticed why do hispanic & black people give birth to kids at a very early age?, like always in their 20's, most of the time before they are 25

Used to work until recently, could Intenet Explorer 7 be the problem as I had to uninstall IE7 to install a wireless hub, as adivsed by the support staff at BT Broadband, then re-install after the hub was installed.

but I changed schools at the end of tenth grade due to personal reasons. I have tried to preserve our friendship by calling, but it feels like i'm the one who's doing all the calling. She always cuts the conversations saying she has to study and what not. I really feel that if I don't call, she would just go on with her life as if I don't exist. The funny thing is, last year and the year before that, I used to call her my best friend. That was when we were both new to the school. Anyway, I wrote her a letter stating all of my feelings because I was too cowardly to tell her to her face. That if she wanted to continue being my friend she had to make an effort. But did I do the right thing?

i have a question related to salary that i would like to ask. I am a university fresh graduate and looking for my first full time job. Recently i went for an interview and everything went well. I quite like the job and the employer was asking for a second interview some time soon. However during the interview, the subject on salary was brought up and i requested an x amt of salary. The employer did not say anything and i feel that he is ok with amount i quoted. But after some thinking after the interview i feel that the amount is quite low and i would like a much higher salary. I am not sure whether it is advisable to request for a higher salary as i am afraid he might not be happy with me for breaking my words. Please give some advice to what is the proper way to put it across. And should i wait for the second interview before i raise this question or should i send him an email before the second interview. Thanks
