Is it possible that there are superior beings that we are not aware of, looking at us and scoffing at our "miserable" and "tiny" lives, much like we do when we look at ants?

Is it possible that all our work and existance just seems miserable and insignificant to some race of superior beings?
"Look at all those tiny humans... doing all that work for nothing... their lives are so short, and they have no idea!" =)

i laughed at this trend when guys started wearing this crap over the summer (although nothing new dating back to 2004). i thought it was never going to be this popular with guys until american eagle and abercrombie starting carrying the look over the fall. it's such a ridiculous look on my part it reminds me when i used to watch pee-wee herman movies when i was a kid. other than emos and punk rockers on tv, i have to yet to see a guy wear these type of jeans yet. i think guys do understand the difference between jeans that give you enough room to breathe and jeans that look like an eyesore from other people.

overall, who in here thinks this is the worst fashion to appear on guys since butt-sagging jeans were the cool thing to do five years ago?

My crush has been giving me mixed signals. We were just friends and hang out together. I think my liking him so much is making me insecure about who I am and I question myself how I am not able to think clearly. At the same time we just got into a fight because he said that my gift cost too much and told me to return it. He read the card and I wrote how I feel in there and now I feeling guilty having written that because I think he DOES think I'm a freak and he just said this on the phone so I wrote like millions of questions tryin to understand how a friend can say I love you and then say this? He calls and says I said love you as a friend! But I misinterpreted that and in the card, I aggred and I said I think we should be more than friends. He just said this like 5 minutes ago. I know I sound crazy but I'm just hurt right now. This is embarrassing so please be honest.

People who are pro-immigrant should be very,very happy that presently we accept more than 1,000,000 people annually as Legal Permanent Residents. We also accept relatives of U.S. Citizens wihout limits. We accept over 100,000 HB1 workers each year. What I have difficulty understanding is why anyone believes we should add more than that number (the highest in any country in the world) to our already very crowded country? Do you agree or disagree?

this one guy who is being insistent on trying to take a relationship further (btw I have no interest in him at all and all we have is just your average friendship) is like 'we need to talk' and I'm like "wth?"

recently i have installed the new internet explorer 7. i thought i would like the new one but found it rather troublesome so i wanna switch to my previous internet explorer. my concern is what will happen if i deinstall the new one? will my previous one will be back automatically? or there would be no internet explorer and i have to go somewhere to download it again... please help me out with this... and thanks in advance!!

Ever since my mom and dad divorced, OUr family has split up and we couldn't have a good christmas this year. My mom has no family in California, they are all in Mexico. My dad, on the other hand, has almost all of his family around him and they all gang up on my mom and make her feel bad. I had to choose who i wanted to spend christmas with and that made christmas feel like crap to me. If I choose my mom, my dad gets really depressed. If I choose my dad, my mom gets depressed. If you were in my situation, who would you choose?

Its been 24hrs since he swallowed 3-4 pellets. I already saw the pellets in his stool. In my observation, he still the same, energetic and playful none had changed. None of the symtoms (as i read in the box) that he had been poisoined manifested. Does this mean that my dog is out of danger?
