Go to START, then to CONTROL PANEL, then to SYSTEM, then to HARDWARE, then to DEVICE MANAGER. Also instead of HARDWARE to GENERAL and it will show the basic setup of your computer. I have done it so many times I have it memorized now.

Fresh diagnose is good, but limited if you don't register it.
Also you could check out majorgeeks.com they have bunches of stuff. some shareware, some freeware, they review the programs too
