Without gifts he is a lot thinner, so it is much easier to get back up.
I try to keep it real simple when explaining things to children this age.

The sack of presents is smaller now that he's given them away and he climbs back up the chimney with no problem at all.

This was answerd in the movie "Santa Cluase " with that guy tim the tool man taylor I forgot his real name. I would just tell the little one with magic or something.

-he uses the back door.
-he flushes himself to the toilet to go to the next door.
