I'm 17 yrs old and my g/f is 16. We've been together for about a year now and have started to get serious in our relationship. I had thouhgt about gettin her a promise ring, but i don't know if it is the right time or right thing to do. I want her to know how much i really do care about her. I already have a ring, but do i need to present it to her as a promise ring or a gift for Christmas?

A docter suggested it might reduce the pain/inflamation that is being caused by 'frozen shoulder'. Also that it might help prevent loss of sight or at least maintain it - talking now about a person who's eyes has already been damaged by diabeties, he has about 30% eyesight left and has had laser treatment before.

My boyfriend has a mix cd from a while back and he had this song. at first we thought that it was the sex pistols.
it kinda goes..."welcome to phhoenix (or feeling?) this is not a love song (repeated a couple times) happy to have not to have (uhh i think!) then the music kind slows and he says how the **** are you?
their is just a lot of repeating of this is not a love song.

We know why "pure" capitalism failed. We also know "pure" communism never existed. Socialist regimes have been discouraging, too.
Today, it seems that America has a market driven "socialism" going on..........and I think it's pretty good. However, it occurs to me that success here only results from competition and the promise of ever greater wealth, promotions, or (fill-in-the-blank). All these things are tied to sales "growth".
How can we continue to live well, meet our future goals, have "ENOUGH" and get off of this "GROWTH" standard we're addicted too?
Considering the global warming that is occuring, the future of our planet may depend on it!

I'm 19, but I feel older than my age. I don't have a lot in common with people my age and at my college. It could be the college where I'm at (which is why I'm transferring), but just in general, they like movies I think are stupid, and all people my age talk about are designer clothes, their drunken escapades, and just superficial things. I know I sound stuck up and I know I'm making a huge generalization here, and these are not my intentions at all. I just feel more comfortable around older people, people who have been around and care about the environment and philanthropy. Why is my generation so shallow and into material things?? I don't want to feel this way. I want to be able to hang out with kids my age, but at the same time I don't believe in a lot of things they do and think. What should I do?
