i am half swiss-half mexican and it is now more than 25 yrs (i am 41) that i have not returned to the country. People use to be good people, yet not very organized and the country is obviously very corrupted and people have little understanding of the national structure (unlike the family structure).

We should not forget the great history Mexico has. The sense of the family that is very high. The sense of party, great humour, and the latine way is the latine way (charming). Great lovers ?! (accordin to ex and ... i am ! and regretfully i never had a mexican GF but i heard that ... ! :-))

Yet Mexico is lucky to have a neighbourg like USA. with the NAFTA they get a nice economical push with good consequences on the standard of leaving (compare to other LATAM countries). Great neighbour to go and study also !. USA, in favour of protecting itself from the rest of LATAM immigration, offers Mexico plenty of help to promote stability. A part of this help is wasted by the natural tendency of ...Latinos ! (i am latine! we have to recognize it !) Latino's ran countries are not the best organized ! (i live in switzerland where you have french, germans and italians rulling the country ... thanks god their are the Swiss germans They make the country ! frenchs speak a lot and ... , italians also but to a worse degree ! french and italians are latinos !) i think worse than latine ran countries are black ran countries !!! On the uperscale caucasians do the best job. between caucasians and latines, you have asians with some like japanese on the upperscale and thais or malays down the scale (native not chinese immigrants). Indians capacity to rule prosperously a country are difficult to assess.

Mexico has a great diversity in climats with desert, tropical forest, continental, great see borders ... and wealthy soil with oil, and ore and ... maybe in 300 years when plenty of mexicans will have good education and evolution and mixte mariages (with other ethnies) will become more dominant it could become a rich and well ran country ??!!

i went to cancun, puerto vaillarta, puerto escondido, these are great places to rest. In the northern (chihuaua not to name it), cow boys are still in fashion and revolvers, here and their, show that they still exist !. Mexico df, quintana roo and other places are simply among the world top historical places to go and see.

YET I LOVE ONE OF MY 2 COUNTRIES ... M E X I C O
VIVA MEXICO

merry christmas
feliz navidad

Mexico has some fantastic scenery and most of the people are great, having been there a number of times both for business and pleasure I have found Mexico to be very welcoming and friendly.
There is corruption within those with power but,you tell me a country that does not have the same problems.
It is easy for the Americans to slag the Mexicans off,but its also worth remembering that the Mexicans have prevented the Americans from invading them plenty of times in the past, and that's why most Americans hate Mexico.

I've had a fun time everytime I've been there. Never gotten sick from the food or water. I've felt reasonably safe except when I got off the beaten path probably where I shouldn't have been. I will go back for another holiday sometime soon.

As far as living there I don't have enough information and for now I would have to say I would have to spend more time there before I could say I'd live there fulltime...

Ive only been to Cancun once for my honeymoon, it was a lovely place and I loved the old ruins, but it was very Americanised and I wanted to see more of the real Mexico, and Mexican people. I also went in May and the sea was full of little jelly fish, so you couldn't swim in it! well I wouldn't anyway! But I still had fun, afterall it was my honeymoon....

I haven't been yet but I've wanted to since I was very young. I'm getting a bit of money soon and the first thing I'm doing with it is booking a holiday there. I can't wait, after all these years I'll finally get the chance to go.

Mexico does have issues, but not much different than America's. I love it there though... from fishing Cabo to snorkeling Cozumel... My wife and I plan to retire there .

Mexico is ok except that there's too many Mexicans there.

Besides mexican food and tequila they haven't contributed much else to civilization as a whole
