The Minister of Culture, Tessa Jowell, seems perfectly happy for the TV license to double in cost in the next 5 years. Yet, according to independent surveys, the vast majority of license payers think that the cost is already extortionate. My question is: Should politicians that do not represent our best interests* stay in office? After all isn't that their job?
*It is not in our best interests too pay whopping wages to the BBC executive or waste money on racist crap like the Eurovision Song Contest.

I hold British and German passports. If I bought a property in Germany as an investment, would I be liable to pay tax on the rental income and on the sale of the property in the future? If so, how much?

I am 21, currently a University undergrad studying something completely unrelated to farming- however, I've recently discovered an interest in farming and would like to know if I'd be suited to it as a career.

What would be the best way to find out? I'm a bit worried about just approaching a farm as, at 21 and with no experience of farm life, I might be seen as a bit of a hobbyist rather than someone who sees it as a genuine career option?

What is my best option, in your opinoin? I'd love to work my way up to having my own smallholding but am unsure how to go about it- any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

I have a problem, which is a global issue for many in terms of making that first move with girls. What do you say to a girl or how do you approach a girl when it is obvious that they seem to be interested in you.

The story, went out to a bar, on entering the door saw a very pretty girl who kept looking at me. I returned the look, it was kinda nice, and even after moving along I knew she was still looking.

I went out of the club to make a call and there she was outside with her friends - think she wanted to follow and when I went back in , she came back in as well and the looking continued.

I wanted to go up to her and talk to her, but I don't know what to say. Why are girls , the pretty ones always surrounded by guys or girls. Oh by the way I'm a girl who likes other women and this was a gay club.

What do you say ? Do you just walk up to her with her buddies there ? Do you keep looking at her smiling ? This happens to me alot - don't know what to do.

On most jobs websites 90-100% of the jobs are advertised by agencies. www.MrJob.co.uk is a new website featuring only employers vacancies. Is this a good idea ? Would you prefer to avoid using agencies ?
A team of final year students are carrying out a market research project and need the opinion of both job seekers and employers.
Please could you look at MrJob.co.uk and complete the survey on the website. If you know anyone else looking for work please direct them to this website, they might find a good job!

i mean how can they feel anything about anybody, they seem to live without guilt or any feelings towards people. They dont seem to care what they are doing to a person as long as they get some sort of sick enjoyment. I especially dont understand how they can bully someone who hasnt done anything bad to them or their friends. I mean do they go home feeling happy and content that they've ruined another persons life i just dont understand how they can do it. I feel guilty if I accidently insult somebody I obsess over it for ages.

If your friend told your supposed boyfriend who was already living with his girlfriend for 3 years that you were sleeping around (which you are) and then you cut of contact, if that person e-mailed you asking how you are, and saying sorry would you report them for harrassment?

We've told them they need to call first, but they never do. I think they know that if they do, we may say we'll be busy or make plans to not be there, so they just show up unannounced at ANY time during the weekend. We live fairly close to them. Since we see them so often, there isn't much to talk about, so the visits are somewhat awkward, yet my folks insist that my family must stop whatever we're doing and play host to them for as long as they decide to stay- which is anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
What should we do?
