I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I had terrible morning sickness (though I ONLY THREW UP ONCE!!) every single time I would get hungry, I'd get naseous. Then, when I hit 7 weeks, everything but feeling tired and moodiness went away. No more nasea or anything. Is this normal? I thought it last way longer than 7 weeks.

I have been married for almost two years and i think i am being a pretty decent wife. I cook, clean, work and we have great sex. I treat him very well. But he seems to talk to me with such disrepect all the time. My husband is 22 and acts like im his girlfreind or something. He just doesnt understand that im his wife and he has to respect that. My Granny was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer Oct 06 and she I think is in her last moments of life. She cannot get out of bed, hospice is with her 24/7, she can barely speak except for light wispers and one can hardly tell what she is saying. She hasn't eaten anything in over a week except 3 spoonfulls of tomato soup she drinks less than 2 cups of liquid a day, she is lucid one moment and not the next. Can anyone give me a timeframe for her death, maybe, since I haven't been through anyone dying like this since I was a child and cannot remember. I know no one can give me an exact date, but approx. how many days does she have? I live 4 hours away from her and see her twice a week as it is. She is my beloved Granny and I love her, she is in very little pain, thank goodness. Thanks for your help!!

So I am cleaning up my portfolio for grad school applications, took a couple more grad level courses locally and scored an A and a B+. Took the GRE subject test, and GRE General. I still think, that although I have a masters in the major I want to earn a PhD in, that my undergrad record with a C average will STILL close the doors on the top programs I want to go to. Also, I don't think I scored so hot on the subject test. And, I had to take the couple of courses recently since in my masters program I didn't reconcile my lack of preparation back then, and hence scored some B-s in my masters program.

So, if I don't get into a top program that I would like to go to, do people think that simply going to the program I want to earn a PhD in and taking some more courses and getting A's in them and recommendations is a viable way to get into that program? Or would I be trying too hard? Or even worse potentially setting myself up for a possible rejection?

In my humble opinion I think that science is merely a social construct theory, in that it is created by humans in our attempts to understand the meaning of life.

Science relys so much on theory and is NOT based in fact, nor does it explain what the 'truth' really is. It could be said that Science is just another branch of philosophy...
