Recently i post a question asking how to sway my little sister to putting her baby up for adoption. I recieved alot of negitive remarks about how I should keep my noes out of it. I dont think I made my self clear on what I was saying. My little sister stilll acts like an 8 yr old. She is not responsible enough to raise a child. Besides I belive that she will not be able to acomplish her goals in life if she keeps this child. As for my mother adopting the baby I dont think that would be in the best intrest for the child. As for the father he, if she will tell us who he is, has no idea about her situation. My sister being heavy, no one knew she was pregnant. She had to have emergency c section because she would have died during a regular birth. She wasnt even full term. Those of you who still belive that some one who has not even come close to maturity should be force into keeping a child just cause she had sex. we are not even sure it was consenual. Do u still think she should keepit

I will be 60 when son starts college. Instead of 529, which must be used for college, I am thinking about opening a Roth IRA account and contribute to it with the intention of using the money for my son's college. I am thinking that since both 529 and Roth are not tax deductible, and both are non-taxable when withdrawn, they are equivalent with one exception. If my son does not go to college, I would not be able to withdraw the money tax free or without penalty from a 529. Not an issue with Roth since I will be more than 59 1/2 by than. One more thing: which account counts more towards grants and scholarship eligibilities?

months ago, I am tired of asking and know he has money, he earns tripple the amount I do. He has set me back- My xmas and groceries are non-existent. I trusted him, he manipulates me then I soften up, he is blowing money left right & center & has invited us for xmas lunch which he got caterers in for.... but I can not feed my family, let allone afford gifts for my kids. He knows my situation. What would you do?

People at all levels of society are slain regularly for insignificant political or monetary gain all the time. There is little concern for the welfare of the poor, even hapless children, who are dying from starvation and disease literally on the streets. What gives? My husband has a Ryobi drill and it's cordless. He mentioned that the batteries he has for it don't hold a charge anymore, and he'd actually just like a corded drill. Does Ryobi make something like the battery that you'd plug in the same spot, but would provide you with corded power? I couldn't find anything on the web, then again I don't know what it's called :) Any ideas?
