My 2 best friends & I always compare ourselves to friends on TV shows & movies & try to figure out who is most like who .. & since we're all so different it sometimes works out where our personalitys are all like a diff. character on the show or whatever!

Like on Mean Girls I'm like Gretchen, my friend Tessa is like Karen, & Zoie is like Regina.

& OMG on South Park except for that we're girls [duhh] Tessa acts like Kyle, I act like Stan, & Zoie is just like Cartman [which isn't always good lol].

But do you & your friends do this ?? What shows/movies ??

Do you think AUSTRALIA Appeal too much? I think they appeal over nothing to upset the batsmen and thats not sporting! In soccer over exagerating a foul you get sent off, why dont we SIN BIN the bowlers for doing this? So do you think Australian cricketers are unsporting? At the end of the day theyre no better individually than many of the English team since they play in the CC season.

Okay, this word problem has 4 different solutions. I found the first two, but I cannot figure out how to find the last two solutions. Here is the info:

Bob has investments totaling $11,000 in two accounts. One account is a savings account paying 6% interest and the other is a bond paying 9%. If the annual interest from the two investments was $855:

(and the questions)

1. How much did he have invested at the 6% rate?
A = $4500
2. How much did he have invested at the 9% rate?
A = $6500
3. How much interest did the 6% account earn?
A = ?
4. How much interest did the 9% account earn?
A = ?

Here is my work:

x = 6% investment & y = 9% investment

x + y = 11000
(subtract x from both sides)
y = 11000 - x

.06x + .09y = 855

.06x + .09(11000 - x) = 855
.06x + 990 - .09x = 855
-.03x + 990 = 855
- 990 -990
-.03x = -135
(divide both sides by -.03)
x = 4500

My boyfriend of five years was my first intimate partner. we had a break of 8 months during that time i met and slept with someone else. I went back with my ex and ended with the other guy. so this guy I like asked my friend out just before thanksgiving... and it was her first time being asked out so she freaked out and said no.
A couple weeks later, me and my other friend started to ask the guy of who he liked and now that I realize it, I guess he still likes/liked her...
My friend says she doesn't know if she regrets rejecting him...
My other friend says that he is getting over her, but I don't believe her... Anyway, this wed. I am planning to tell him that I like him, but I am intensely nervous because both my friends are going to be at the party, and
a) I don't want to be rejected and b) I don't want to have a relationship where I like the guy more than he likes me.
But I really like him... and I can't wait anymore to tell him... but it's just that I don't really know if I should tell him.
Should I believe that he's getting over her and tell him or should I keep from telling him and try to hook them up?

We don't go to the same school and I haven't known him for too long. In other words I don't know much about him so don't tell me to get something he likes. I went to a couple of his band's performances and he's seen me there for sure (I was in front row all the time >o<). Christmas break is coming up so I just want to give him something small like chocolate...or someting cute maybe...well you know...any suggestions?

I have seen a few friends of mine with pullover Hurley sweaters that have thumb holes in them. One of my friends told me the holes were made for fighting (maybe so you could form a fist without getting your sweater tangled up), but is that really what they are for? Being that it is well known that Gay people do not recognize male/female relationships as necessary in marriage or being a couple. That same sex couples are completely appropriate. Then why is it that with every gay couple I know of, one plays the female role and one plays the male role. Isn't that going against their own beliefs to fall into male/female roles when they are the same sex? I don't get that.
