My husband mowed last weekend, and a day later developed swelling, redness, and small bumps on the end of his penis. He said it was from poison oak. He went to the doctor the next day and got a prescription for prednisone (steroid). The symptoms cleared up within a day or two. My question is: would prednisone clear up the symptoms if it was say herpes for example?

...if the Europeans came from Europe with British accents, how did it end up that people in the South now have a Southern accent?
Did they somehow just come up with it on their own? Or was that English influenced by some other type of English, or some other language originally spoken in the American South?

I have a 3 yr old male cocker spaniel (not been fixed). I've lived alone since I had him. Normally, he doesn't pay much attention to me until others come over. Than he has to jump in my lap/beg for attention. My b/f just moved in a few weeks ago, so my dog is constantly trying to get attention. He gets plenty between the 2 of us, but he always wants to be in my lap now. When i push him off, he tries to sneak up and stand on the back of the couch behind my head. He's been trained since a puppy to sleep on the floor, now he tries to sneak on the foot of the bed at night. Please help. He is driving me crazy!

I got this game awhile back, played i for two months, then ditched it. Its an MMORPG for starwars, and it got old quick. Too repetitive, and not enough people playing. Even though I'm not playing it anymore, however, My Step-Mother is still being charged for months on the game. I dont even have this thing any more. Any suggestions?

I got a goldfish in a "white elephant" gift exchange. I know that fish should be fed every other day. I'm leaving town for a week, will it be ok with out food for a week?
