Does anyone know the origin of this phrase? I know it is used many times to reference american soldiers in europe in WWII

I would wish that those who really celebrate the birth of Christ find peace and joy.
This is of course true for everyone and includes the wish that my brother and all who serve in the Armed Forces may come home behind their flag, not under it.

How can I get a little bit fatter? I eat and eat...but I'm 15 and weigh 110 or so pounds.....I mean I eat like a damned black hole. But I'm honestly nearly immune to fat it seems like. I'll admit I'm depressed and worry a lot so that does make me have a smaller diet at times...but over all I can eat 3 pizzas (along with a lot of other stuff) in less than a day. I've worked out more than one of my friends yet he still appears a bit larger...

Really it seems like working out doesn't do much either, as though I get stronger but appear the same. I never really work out much because I'm lazy and just don't see much reason to get really buff, I'm just tired of appearing so freakishly skinny. Is there anything that can at least put some fat around the forearm and such?


Also please don't say steroids =P

This won't be the first time. I'm Asian, and I had this done to me beore many times by my dad. I've been beaten up not too long ago too - on Friday because I woke up late for school, and I had this huge blackish red bruise on my leg and one on my hand. I've been depressed about it since and my grades have been slipping in the last couple of months (a 80% student to a 50% in last 2 months!! I have never gotten this kind of mark before.) I've told him over and over again to stop beating me up. Now my dad found out at work today that I was doing really bad in Physics (My mom called him, she got a call from my teacher). He called me on phone, disapointed and hung up without a word. I'm afraid that when he comes home tonight, he'll beat me up again. What should I do?

the thing is pissing me off real bad cause it scares me everytime.. i set up gel traps but it's not falling for it, some smart rat...now it's in the kitchen and just ran across it, it confines my space and it doesn't let me sleep because i'm up all night listening to see if it's in my room...it's annoying now because i can't tell how many there are...at first i thought there was one running around the house but now idk, maybe one, or two...i really really want to get rid of it because i'm deathly afriad of it...i can't do anything comfortably...anyone have any ideas how to get rid of it? i'd greatly appreciate it...thanx

I have three kids, all girls. My oldest daughter is 26 and she is 5'2. My second daughter is 21 and she is 5'6. My youngest daughter is 15 and she is 6'0. She has been taller than me since she was in fifth grade. She is nice and healthy. She weighs around 150pounds. Even when she was in grade school she was as tall or taller than her teachers. She is already taller than me and her father, we're both 5'10
