I have three kids, all girls. My oldest daughter is 26 and she is 5'2. My second daughter is 21 and she is 5'6. My youngest daughter is 15 and she is 6'0. She has been taller than me since she was in fifth grade. She is nice and healthy. She weighs around 150pounds. Even when she was in grade school she was as tall or taller than her teachers. She is already taller than me and her father, we're both 5'10
Has anyone else had a girl that grew so fast?

She should stop growing soon. I dont have kids and i dont think you have anything to worry about. My sisters friend was close to 6' when she was 14. I think that a lot has to do with what we eat. Everything, unless it is labeled organic, is infused with hormones, even milk. They use it to make things grow faster and bigger. It is very common for kids today to be tall. People are evolving to (not to get into a discussion over evolution). If you look at uniforms in musuems from the civil war, the average soldier was under 5' tall. Now a 100 years later, the average man is close to 6' tall. There has to be something there.

I am 16 and am the equal top as my mother (we're each five'two). However, I used to be shorter than her till this yr whilst I grew two inches. My little sister is 14 and is five ft tall so I wager she will likely be approximately my top too.

At the age of 15, your daughter may only have another year or two of growing. I know many women who are tall and they all played basketball in middle school.

My niece is 13 yrs. old is about 5'11 at last check. It doesn't just depend on immediate family look back to the grandparents, great grandparents. She could be what my family jokingly calls us as "throw backs" I'm one of the shortest I take after my grandma on my dad side. My sister is 5'9, my mom is 5'5, dad 5'4. Dad's dad was 6'5. I was one of the darkest in my family until I got older. My dad's grandmother was darkest. My grandma on mom's side very fair skinned.

When I was that age I had three friends (girls) who were at least 6 feet tall. I don't think it's really that weird.
