I honestly dont believe there is a particular brand better than another. People often knock generic brands of medicine and products period, not realizing that other than a "brand name" the ingredients are all the same.
If you want true info on the difference though, I would suggest asking a pharmacist or your Dr.

There is a really good brand called NOW vitamens that you can get at almost any health food store. The label is orange, and they make all sorts of vitamens, including prenatals. If you take them, toward the end of your pregnancy you might want to supplement with a vitamen B and C. Good luck!

your dr should give you a few samples and try the one that works best for you. some made me sick, and others were hard to remember, cuz it was 2 pills (morning and night.) In the end, I used Prenate Elite (perscription only-very expensive if you don't have insurance-would have cost about $150.00 per month, but my insurance covered all but $9.00)

I liked MATERNA. I took them my whole pregnancy and they worked well, no side effects. Some can make you constipated. I always took it he same time every day with a glass of juice, and I was fine. I am still taking them since I am breastfeeding and it give you all the nutrients you still need.

Anything that doesn't make u sick. You can have your doc give you several samples (perfectly safe) and try them out. Whichever one you like best, he can prescribe. Some will make you naucious as hell. You don't have to stick to it if it doesn't work for you. What matters is that you are taking them so try diff. ones.

I don't know about a brand, but I would get them from a health food store. the ones you get from walmart and places like that don't absorb well....make sure they are capsules not tablets...
