About a week ago, my son started getting up in the night - usually before 12 a.m. He will cry and sit up and in his crib. We wait to go in there and after while we go in there to comfort hmi. He likes to be held and then when we put him down, he crys bloody murder. I don't know if this is a habit for him or if he is teething. I have two older daughters and they never did this so I am a bit confused. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate you answering my questions. Thanks!

For what ever reason, I just started seeing a therapist. I felt there were some issues to address. While all and all things seem ok, the therapist seems to believe that many of my problems stem from my child hood and my relationship or should I say lack of relationship with my parents.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I was never one liked thinking about or talking about my childhood. I am kind of stuck I guess because every time I seem to have a problem it actually seems to relate back to that childhood. Any advice?

alcoholic and drug addict. She has 2 kids ages 5 & 8. Last summer my husband and I ended up with her kids for 3 months because we called DCFS on her. She has a bad habit of leaving for several days at a time and we always get the kids dropped in our lap from someone else. I love my neice and nephew very much and I also love my sister......BUT......she needs help and this is not good for her kids. How do I help her to realize what she's doing to her kids and to the rest of the family?? Should I call and turn her into DCFS again?? What are foster homes like?? I heard some bad things about them?? The end of the rope is here and I'm not sure how much more I can take of this. Would they go to a foster home? Would the kids be split up? I feel sick about all this and so in the middle of it all. I'm tired and weary. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks.

I grew up in a very loving city, my father passed away and my mother decided to move to a city that is highly dangerous (my extended famliy lives there) and where the people arent very loving. My mother started mistreating me because she was suffering because she didnt have any support (not even from my family members). I got severly sick at age 18 and almost became handicapped. Yet I still went to my university and worked for 4 years until I couldnt do it anymore, during this time I met a man who is very loving, but I do not love him, I married him out of surival (he knows this). How to find contempment in the middle of adversity and injustice?
