Hi, I'm 24 weeks pregnant and when my baby kicks now it's become steadily more violent and is now starting to hurt a lot. Is that normal this early on?

Yes it is normal, and as the baby grows it will have less room to get a good kick or punch off so it will get better.

That is very normal. The bigger the baby is the more it hurts. I also found that me being very small (normally about 100 pounds) that I was all baby so therefore when my baby kicked, I felt it all over. I felt I was carrying more than one kid in there! Or at least a boxer LOL Unfortunately, as the weeks go on, the kicking will hurt more and more, and when you get near term, he/she will have less room and will kick you as they won't be able to move. But it is all worth it. My dr suggested putting a heating pad if my belly got sore and also try shifting positions - that might send your baby moving to a different spot. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy :)

Just to add to what everyone else said about it being normal.....my OBGYN said a lot of it is due to the position of the baby when it is happening. I've had it being painful and then maybe a few hours later, no pain at all.......

So don't freak if you have episodes of pain vs. no pain!
