This sounds like a weird question, but maybe the police officers on here can help me. I have this fascination with law enforcement and being a female that's 5'2" and 90 lbs., I'm thinking I probably wouldn't have a very good shot of ever having a future in any "in the field" law enforcement work. ;) I've always wanted to see the inside of a police station, but are civilians just allowed to walk in? If so, what would a police officer do if you stopped by and said "Oh, I just wanted to have a look around?"

My mom is great! I love her to death, but when it comes to planning my wedding, she seems to be ignoring everything I say and is telling the wedding coordinator what she wants. I have tried to have calm conversations with her, but she keeps doing the same thing. I want this to be a great experience for the both of us, but now I am getting stressed out. Itr seems like she is planning the wedding she wants and inviting all of her friends without consulting me. Now I am facing whether I will have room for the people I want there...Help!

It is noce that white people say we are all equal but you people do not live that way. When my family moved into a white area all the white people took off quick as hell. You say we are equal yet you live apart from us intentionally. You say we are equal yet you refuse to hire us for anything other than menial jobs. As soon as you stop using race, so will we.

I have a 5 year old who just started school this year and he seems to be getting sick all the time. He has never really been around other kids before (no preschool or daycare.) Is there anything I can do to boost his immune system and how many days can he miss before they hold him back? I don't want him to have to repeat kinder but I am worried about it since he keeps missing so much school. Oh he also has asthma so it doesn't help either. Please if you have any advice let me know. I have used the exact same recipes for more than 15 years. The past two years, they have spread when I baked them. I've tried various things: checking the oven temp (lowering it); adding more flour, using butter instead of margarine, etc. I usually make all my dough and refrigerate and bake when I can. Is it because the dough is too cold possibly? But honestly, last year I did not chill my dough and had pretty much the same problem. I bake over a thousand cookies so I really need to figure out my problem. Maybe the cookie sheets? It happens with peanut butter, choc. chip, and other drop cookies. How can you use the same recipes for 15 plus years and all of a sudden they fail? I've got to be missing something! Any ideas?
