I love the name Parker. A guy named Parker sounds like a cool guy, fun-loving, etc. My wife says fathead Rosie ODonnell named her kid Parker. Is this even true? She says it is. Yeah I hate that fathead.

Stacey: I never met Hitler or Osama B., but I hate them too!

Everybody else: Rosie is an annoying fathead.

And I DID like it before ROsie. Parker Lewis can't Lose - great show from the 80s.

Yes her son is named Parker but i dare her to find a single name that some one in the world is not named. just because you name your son parker does not mean that you like Rosie or that its a bad name. if you like the name tell her so and make her understand that its your choice too. good luck.

Unfortunately, fathead Rosie O DID name her kid that. I wouldn't let that stop you from using it... otherwise no one could use names like Hillary, Bill, Louis, Al, Jesse, George, etc again.

I do think Parker is a cute name... it is the name of one of the triplets on Desperate Housewives too.

Yes, Rosie did name one of her sons Parker.
However, I don't think it's a cool name at all.

Parker is the name for a boy-child who grows up to drink beer for breakfast, has a den filled with taxidermied deer, owns a pick-up truck with smoke coming out of the tailpipe, keeps a loaded and sawed-off shotgun in the rear window of the truck, believes every word that comes out of the mouth of any Republican, and wants to fight anyone who argues that Bush is the worst president this country has ever had!

Please do the baby a favor and name him something other than Parker!

I love the name Parker. Rosie is a weird person that needs help from God. that's the only one that can ever help her! Does the name just remind your wife of Rosie? Tell her that there are names that she likes , that I'll bet are names of serial killers or some other weird person. Nothing is wrong with PARKER !

I like the name Parker also. My brothers go by that name (can you guess why) in their own circles. And it is true that Rosie named her son that. It may come down to the love of your wife or the love of the name, though. I always like Steven and Michael. *Yes, I know those are 'standards'* but I like them.

That is a bit narrow minded would you not say so?
What does naming your child have to do with a celebrity?
They will not be play mates I am sure.
Besides that why call Rosie a name. You do not have to that because it serves no purpose. Make you feel better?maybe?
I know 2 adult Parkers and both are very nice people.

If we have another son I want to name him Parker as well. Rosie O'Donnell doesn't have her kid in the spotlot enough to make it an issue...

Now if you named your child Jayden, Sean, Preston, Ryder, Maddox, or Apple and tried to say it isn't because of the celebrity parent you are full of it! :)

If she won't go for Parker maybe you could consider:
Owen
Elliot
Eli
Peyton
Noah
Gaige
Bryce
Brody
Gavyn
Miller
Mason
Carter
Ethan

Hope this helps! SD

Go ahead and name your child Parker. I understand what your wife is going through. We associate names by famous people like Paris know when people hear Paris they associate it more with Paris Hilton and not the city anymore. Like people name there kid after biblical it is pregitous. Anyways, since Parker is just her son it doesn't come up that much most people don't know her son's name b/c it is not revelant to them. Good Luck with whatever ya'll chose!

2 Hippos and a little one~ A compelling tale of horror featuring Rosie Odonnel and Rosanne Barr teamed mutually for the 1st time; action picture magic is made whilst particular effects mastermind Stevie Spellburg suits the two co-stars on the exhibit screen on the comparable time! Rated XXY- no longer stated for little ones below 60 or those with creative and prescient in the two eye~

What does your feelings about Rosie have to do with what you name your child. This whole question is petty and immature. Are you jealous that Rosie was smarter to think of it before you did. I feel sad for you son having you as a pathetic father figure. He will just learn to be miserable and hateful like you and what a terrible life for a child named Parker or anything else. Just a dismal existance. God bless.
