Hi, I have got a male staffordshire bull terrier that I have had for nearly 5 years now. He is still eliminating in his crate, day and night, he even seems to wait sometimes until he has got in it before he will do a poo. It is getting to the stage now where he is always covered in urine as he is lying in it and then he spends the next hour cleaning his fur, I am bathing him about once or twice a week to get rid of the smell.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can get him to stop this, I don't tell him off when he has done it, I just clean it up. I go outside with him and give him praise and treats when he goes to the toilet outside, I have even bought him a DAP (dog appeasing pheromone) diffuser to try and stop it but nothing seems to be working.
If anyone has any suggestions at all, I would be very greatful (and i'm sure my dog will be too)
I have also got another dog of the same breed/age and he has never had this problem.
Thanks again.
