No I don't think that you should give them the thongs, they are 8 and 10. If they were 16/17 then fair enough but I think that 8 and 10 is too young for them to be wearing them. Children grow up too fast nowadays and telling them not too tell their dad I feel is a tad wrong, because if they start of not telling him about something simple like clothing what else will they keep hidden
Also why don’t you give them normal knickers to wear that is nothing wrong with them, wearing a thong doesn’t automatically mean that they are dressing pretty.

I think that you should have waited for them to get older before you buy thme thongs, they are just little girls. I kno that you dnt want them to grow up like tomboys or not being able to dress pretty but a girl can be pretty w/out thongs and miniskirts. They are not teenagers and just think about the consequences, many young/older boys these days are extremely fresh and will do just about anything to get some no matter what the girls age is.

At age 10, a girl should not even wear thongs. They are designed to cover panty lines when wearing skin tight clothes and skirts.
I would never want to see an 8 year old or a 10 year old in a mini skirt and thong. Knee-Length skirts are proper.
Wait until they are around 14-15. Besides, Tomboy girls need regular underwear, a thong would hurt when playing sports or climbing trees.

There's nothing wrong with raising your children without a specific gender dominating their lifestyle. If your relatives choose to raise their children androgynously, that's their choice. You need to stay out of it and stop trying to mold THEIR children to YOUR ideals.
That said, 8 and 10 is definitely way too young to be wearing thongs and miniskirts.
In addition, you have some really, really skewed ideas of what it is to be ladylike if you think thongs and miniskirts means lady... To many people, that would mean one opposite of lady, such as the women you see strutting the street corners late at night...
Finally, shame, shame, SHAME on you for telling your nieces, "Here, do this, but don't tell your daddy!!"

No GOOD GRIEF! They are children NOT ladies and boys will notice them and think they are loose! They are too young and I don't think you should go against daddys rules, he's the parent not you. You might think you are helping them but your hurting them. Maybe when they are 16 or so but not his young. Let them be children, they will have plenty of time to be adults when they are actually ADULTS! My neice is 14 and wants to wear thongs but we don't let her. No, it's not just underwear, the way girls wear there pants nowadays leaves very little wondering about whats on underneath and thongs will make a child look like a woman and who really wants that?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. 8 & 10? no effin way, and totally inappropriate to tell them not to tell their daddy. you have just set up a situation where they can deceive their parents whenever they want something they are not allowed to have. you aren't going to be there to pick up the pieces when this type of clothing and dress get them into trouble...wearing thongs and mini-skirts at the ages of 8 & 10 is not dressing like a lady, it's the sexualization of little girls. really icky of you. do something to make this right. these little girls are at a very impressionable age.

I think that it is okay to take the girls shopping, for pretty panties. I don't know that thongs are a good choice. I know that there are some really cute little girl bikini panties with like disney characters on them that would be more appropriate for their age group. Please consider these before you buy them thongs. Would you want your little 8 or 10 year old daughter to leave the house in a thong?

What would an 8 or 10 year old child need with thong underwear? Should our children really be given the idea that they have to dress sexy to be pretty or to boost their self-esteem?
I know if my sister bought thongs formy child at that age I would wonder about her perception of beauty. Sometimes a woman doesn't have to take her clothes off to have an aura of beauty.

Thongs are not bad but i don't approve of a miniskirt and you are wrong to tell them to hide it from their dad. I think that you need to reevaluate what it means to dress like a lady, because I don't know of any "ladies" that wear mini skirts.

Why on earth does it remember what form of undies you positioned on? it quite is not like all and sundry is gong to make certain them. Dont' waste your funds at victoria's secret, get bras there, no longer undies that returned, no one will see. i for my area do no longer positioned on thongs, I basically positioned on besides the fact that type is accessible in those hanes packs with 5 pairs for like ten dollars. As to your summer season dilema, basically get some pairs of regular undies, and save the thongs for when you get domicile. yet does not it harm to positioned on a thong with denims? I recommend, your bare butt is rubbing up against denim all day... :O
