We see emotions over power thought all the time, in muder cases, suicide, assault, and bassically all illogical choices we make. Why are they so powerfull though? I just don't get it, our brain controlls are emotions so why can't it stop them? People do bad things without any thought all the time, just acting on pure hate or jelousy, or some other emotion. When it comes time for me to make decsions, I always try to use reason and take the effects of all my choices into consideration before acting. Sometimes I fail to do this though because my emotions were to powerfull, then I find myself in deep water, and only after can I realize the choice was so stupid and illogical. I think humans give themselves to much credit.

I'm a 28 year old woman and I find no sensation from intercourse. I feel absolutely NOTHING! It sorta feels uncomfortable and I know to some women, painful regardless of how much they've done it. I don't have any STD's and I'm healthy and I KNOW for a FACT that switching partners has nothing to do with this problem. I have heard that almost 80% of women feel nothing during intercouse? Is that true? I know some men say, "you need to find a man to do it right." I personally believe that's an ego booster for men. I think it's bologna...Thanks to those who answer!

OK, so I have a pet turtle, and today is cleaning day. But here's the problem, I can't pull my tank up off my stand. What on Earth am I supposed to do-- and remember turtle poop stinks like monkey butt, my house is going to smell like monkey butt in a few short hours!

My teacher does not know the answer on this one, so maybe someone can help me out with this.

In case of uniformal distribution, the probability distribution for a uniform random variable can be calculated with some formulas. The standard deviation is calculated with the formula

St. dev. = d - c / square 12

d=the highest value
c=the lowest value.

I understand that d-c is the lenght of the posibilities for the variable. But why should we divide by square 12 to know the standard deviation. Where does this come from?

Okay I have a cousin who is like my best friend.... She was with this guy who treated her like crap and he never hit her but he did push her and drag her on the floor by her hair.... He then went to jail and now that hes out they have gotten back together and she knows that he hasnt changed because he still threatens her and he told her that he was goin to kill her if she ever got involved with another guy....and I really dont want to be apart of that anymore.... I was on an island up on Lake Erie and it was around 11pm and quite dark. I saw a little flashing light a little off the road. It could have been a firefly, but it was 1) too late in the night for fireflies and 2) the light was white, not yellow. Then I thought it might be a keychain or something that flashed that someone threw off the side of the road. Then it started moving. The light floated up higher and even went over my head, flashing all the way. It was so dark I couldn't see anything but the light. I eventually lost sight of it. What was that? Keep in mind this light was about the size of a firefly.

I can't find it in the United States on any web sites. What I need is for people to check any liquor stores in their area to see if there are any stray bottles left on the shelf. The liquor is a marsala based drink with some type of egg extract. I know it sounds gross but it's delicious. The label will say "cremovo vino aromatizzato" possibly also with "all uovo" at the end. It's not expensive. I can reimburse you the cost of the liquor and shipping plus a finders and trouble fee. Any help would be appreciated.

my daughter met a guy moved 1/2 way across the us to be with him decided to give her 3 boys to there dad i guess this guy didn`t like kids she also had a baby by another guy when she met this guy she moved to be with she called and said her baby boy 11 months old has been abused and was in neonatal intensive care me and my other 2 daughters begged borrowed and went in debt to fly to another state to be with her supposedly this boyfriend had beat my grandson he had a 7"skull fracture his brain was swollen he had damage to his esphoygus and at the time had no sight we stayed a few days with her then we returned home when he was out of the woods the dss took custody of the baby and placed him in a foster home we moved my daughter back to kansas to start classes and requirements to regain custody of her baby she started talking with this guy and moved back right before they sent him to prison she married him he told her it was an accident i can not find a way to get over this what do i do

It is a symbol of torture and death. A recent decision by the 4th US District Court of Appeals allows this. What happened to separation of church and state? Should there be a Muslim Crescent or the Star of David on federal government land also? There are about10,000 religions. Each should be allowed to put up a symbol.

i know that i am biting off way more than i can chew. i dont get nearly enough sleep. im at work by 8am finish at 7pm in bed by 8pm for my 2 hour nap, up again at 10pm, back at work at the club by 11pm dance my *** off while being drooled over by seedy old men till 3am and up again at 8am to start all over again. i never eat at the right times. thats if i eat at all because most of the time i have no appitite due to the party supplies i have taken to keep me awake. if you know what i mean. smoke a bit of this, snort a bit of that. is it all worth it? If i keep up the money im making now ill be set for life but is it worth my health?

It has been argued that altought we had committed enough troops to topple Saddam, we did not commit enough troops and equipment to establish the peace in Iraq.
Whether or not the Iraq invasion was right or wrong, we are there. And, we need to establish law and order within the Iraqi borders. Isn't it time we consider increased troop and equipment levels to stop the civil violence, secure Iraqi borders, and rebuild the country's economy?
Training Iraqi security forces will take years. The Bush administration hope of having Iraqi forces trained and in place is not going to happen any time soon. Rather than withdraw and leave the Iraqi people with an all out civil war, shouldn't we make a serious commitment to establish peace?
