I have a friend who is in her 70's and she looks after her husband who has severe dementia. She claims the care attendance allowance although she is struggling to pay for extra care. What benefits could she be entitled to or are there any loop holes or extra benefits that we don't know about? She has a state pension her husband has a private and state. Its so sad that she can't afford to put him in a home as he needs 24/7 care, andshe is so worn out. Any advice woulod be appreciated thanks!

My son has a scout leader who doesn't do much, just "wings" it and yet wants to keep being the leader. He recently set a poor example by letting the rest of his den scouts be in the cold, while he and his son sat in a warm car!

I'm looking at buying a new laptop pretty soon - it used to be all so easy but these new dual core things have me beat.

Can someone explain the numbering system with the Intel Dual Core processors.. which is faster? they all seem to have numbers that have no meaning to the processor speeds etc.. is there a league/speed table somewhere?

This is driving me completely INSANE!

I'm currently working on a painting of an abbey ruin and I need to mix a colour that looks like old stone, darkish in colour where the air/pollution has darkened the stone.

Here's a pic of what I'm TRYING to paint...

No matter what colours I mix together I can't seem to get the right shade! It's doing my head in! The painting is close to completion apart from adding this colour and some fine details/highlighting effects.

Anyone have a clue how to replicate the colour of old tarnished stone and for it to actually look like the texture of stone?

I've taught myself to paint but there is only so much I can work out on my own, any hints/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thomas woke up one morning immensely aroused so he turned over to his wife's side of the bed. His wife, Heather, had already awakened though, and she was downstairs preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Afraid that he might spoil things by getting up, Thomas called his little boy into the room and asked him to' Bring this note to your beautiful Mummy.' The note read:

The Tent Pole Is Up,
The Canvas Is Spread,
The Hell With Breakfast,

Heather, grinning, answered the note and then asked her son to 'Bring this to your silly Daddy.' The note read:

Take The Tent Pole Down,
Put The Canvas Away,
The Monkey Had A Hemorrhage,
No Circus Today.

Thomas read the note and quickly scribbled a reply. Then, he asked his son to take it back to 'The lady in the kitchen'. The note read:

The Tent Pole's Still Up,
And The Canvas Still Spread,
So Drop What You're Doing,
And Come Give Me Some Head.

Laughing, Heather answered the note and then asked her son to 'Take this to the poor man upstairs'. The note read:

My boyfriend is a great guy, and we have a great relationship. We have been together for a year and practically live together. The only thing is that he has given me a few reasons to not completely trust him and to suspect (but not actually be able to make an accusation) that something is up. After he gave me a funny story a few nights ago, I crossed a line an went through his phone. The only thing that annoyed me is that when I viewed his text messages, he asked someone if they wanted to hang out. All of his messages were to numbers that were already saved / listed in his phone under names. This number was not listed under a name. Should I call the number? If I do, I plan on calling from my friend's phone. I will not mention his name, I just want to see if it's a female.
