How would you carpet your walls?

I want to go with a leopard print in my bedroom. A nice flat carpet. It seems alot easer than Painting that design on the walls.

Carpet as wallcovering ??? It would look like a padded cell - the "Safari Room" at a mental institution ? ( Just kidding )
I would like to suggest a few alternatives. The first being trying to source out that print in a wallpaper. I am absolutely certain it exists somewhere, try the internet.
Carpet on a wall is too heavy looking and, retro. Carpet in that pattern in particular, would be way too overbearing in Iarge amounts. I would rather see you work with a fabric in that pattern, on your walls. But treat it as a large, flat panel and hang it at the head of the bed on dowels. You could also hang it against the wall and tie it back at the head of the bed framing the headboard and centering an African art print in the middle. You could cut the fabric in a psuedo pelt shape, mount it on stiff board and hang it as a skin. Keep the carpet on the floor as a smaller matching area rug. Mix in faux zebra print cushions or throws. Paint your walls in rich sand and brown tones and consider black bedroom furniture.
So, go ahead and use that print, but don't assault your senses with it in carpet on the walls. Mix it up in small quantities with similarly inspired prints and colours for a more refined, finished look. Have fun !

1 you need to seal the walls. Use carpet glue, spread on the wall with a fine notch trowel. get dry over night.
2 use a larger notch trowel to spread the final glue. Hold in place with staples every 6" across the top, put in a few as needed in the balance of the wall. use some type of hand roller to roll the carpet after its been up for an hour or so.
For home use only. Do NOT use in a commercial building.
Also do NOT block a fire exit with carpet unless you are sure of the flame spread rating. Carpet on the wall burns faster than on the floor.

why not wallpaper? seems a lot easier, more hygienic and probably cheaper. I am sure you will be able to find something you like -- if not, carpet the floor and go with a nice matching goldy-brown on the walls and put up some prints and do some pillows and a throw. I am sure you will regret carpeting the walls.

Almost regardless of where you live, whether renting or owning, you should keep in mind the ability to reverse this change.
My recommendation is to mount the carpet to 1/4" plywood and then mount the plywood in sections to the walls with wood screws and dress washers. (a cosmetic washer that is more appealing to the eye.) Brass would be a nice touch. Use wall anchors (plastic will be fine) if installing over drywall. 1/4" plywood is affordable (underlayment will work) and this is quickly removable and by spackling the holes, completely reversable. The carpent can be stapled to the plywood and if not glued, even the plywood can someday be reused, if....you change your mind.

Get the thickest shag you can find! I recommend turquoise or burnt orange. And use a staplegun with long staples, fewer holes than tacking it up with nails.

Id advice against this... for one, its an outdated 1960's thing.. and for 2nd.. carpet collects dust.. Its one thing to clean your floor, but to clean and shampoo walls?.. whew!boy!
